I LOVE that porch.

B&P... your coffee sounds good! Last night I created something chocolate. It looks like it has been laying in the road for a while being ran over but it tastes sooo good. I made two chocolate caramel meringue "cake" layers then spread cream cheese with powdered sugar mixed in it between them. Rich and chocolatey!!! No doubt it's healthfood because of all the eggs. lol
TW, you really need to work on your description!!!

And no flour. So other than the sugar fairly low carb. Could substitute. It is a proven fact that LOOKS of chocolate has no impact on taste.

Hi Leslie. How's the egg business going? I need to clean some up and put them in cartons.

That THANG I made looks awful but good golly it tastes so good! I've got to figure out how to cook meringue and have it NOT shrink down to nothing.

Hey TW ... I think it is hard to go wrong with cream cheese. I've been craving cream cheese frosting so much I've been contemplating putting some greek yogurt in the blender with powdered sugar and then pretending.

Eggs are all going okay. We seem to be selling enough eggs that I can usually fit more into the fridge. I finally got the feed mill I want to work with to create a "local" feed on the phone, and we're discussing various philosophies of getting a good, flexible, multi-flock product created for us so I can maybe put some "buzz words" on our eggs to attract more of the local food buyers. The flock is really enjoying some more freedom ... I let them out super early this morning, and they weren't sure what to do with themselves. There is poop everywhere around the house now that we're free-ranging.

Yesterday I put some more eggs under some more broodies, so I've got fingers crossed that they are staying put ... I think I'm going to go take some photos of the pancake hens ... and you guys can guess how many eggs are under each one.

It is GORGEOUS here today ... my First Favorite Tree is in full bloom ... not dropping petals yet. I'm sure there will be more photos of that, too. And soon my Second Favorite Tree will start to bloom. I bet you can hardly wait for that.

I've got plenty of food in the fridge that I don't even have to cook today. I've got a HUGE turkey in brine in a ginormous cooler on the back deck, but it is not defrosting very quickly. I tried to pull some ice chunks out of the body cavity, and in about 2 seconds my hands were screaming from the cold. I took the dog on a walk instead of dealing with that. If it ever defrosts, there will be turkey dinner for everyone at my house ... 40 lbs of turkey means everyone can all bring your dogs, too.

I only have a back porch. It has a view of the mountains and the chicken coop. BYOBuckets.

Awww that's just free fertilizer. lol Last year wild rabbits pooped all over our front yard and I hope they do it again this year. It looked like it had been raining raisins. I bet a "local" feed would go over well with several folks. I believe I am going to get with the guy at my feedmill on a gamebird feed.

Can't wait to see the pics!

That tree is beautiful! I have bradford pears, March flowers, crocus and a yellow bush bloomed out. Looks like spring but it's still cool out BUT warm days are coming.

Hey we write about what we know.... and what interests us... and what we are passionate about. I love describing the world about me.... I have in the works a series of vignettes little conversations with people I have met... Because I am friendly and people tend to open up with me.... for the most part I have discovered a hidden world of People... You d never know by looking at them. Usually short but telling conversations.

Then I write short stores from the point of view of different "stuff".... Or animals.

My Science fiction Book has been in the works for more than 40 years... since the days of Star Wars actually. It started out as an exercise with two other friends where we would write different legs of the story or write our own characters portions.... I grabbed up my own character and took her into an adventure on her own. Its been through several re writes.....

This latest is the best over all... Matured characters and settings.... All written during a time where it was keeping me from panicking. I don't do hospitals well. Matter of fact I fear to pass out if I see someone with an IV in them. Mom had to go in for a lumpectomy... Sitting in the hospital to wait for her to come out was very very hard for me.... but by keeping my journal at hand I could write and draw and create to shut the world out. I started out with a spiral notebook and evolved to 150 page diaries. Eight of those later got me through Recovery for mom and radiation therepy.... I dont edit. Not even when I get to transcribing to the computer. The most I will do is spell check if I know it myself..... I dont trust the computer to do any of that stuff.

I lost my last journal to a car thief.... Thank goodness I had just started it. Once I get about three more of those diaries done I will have brought the story to a conclusion. Then the transcription..... Then I go through and rewrite it one more time fleshing out bits and tieing up loose threads. Spell checking Continuity checking .... Yata Yata.... Then I will need to find a real Editor to go through it once more.

I hope to publish electronically through Amazon. but I have never published anything before.
