She sounds like an amazing resilient woman. My mum is 88 and I took her car keys away from her. She's just too dotty. Like you I respect her past experience and her wonderful character and the history she's lived and her emotional intelligence and her survival power! But no way is she driving that car any more.

Hello! We have a Gust, too. He says "Hi, do you like my bone? Would you like to sing The Bone Song? I'll just wait right here until you're in the mood."

We have crossed the 500 pages mark with this thread.

what a cute smooshable face.....

I used to have a Greyhound off the track. His name was PowCho.... (Don't let the three yearold name the dog) He was such a goober.... He Wuvved doggie bisquits.... I woud give him one and he would carry it with is Two canines on one side of his mouth to the center of the living room floor.... where upon he would drop it and begin his Cookie dance.

He would reach down and bite the air just above the cookie then throw his head up and march part of a circle and repeat. for a couple of go rounds., Each time getting closer to the cookie. His last effort was to grab the cookie and in a flash disappear into the bedroom where upon you could hear him crunching away. He always ate them in his bed.

Then comes Rose my pound puppy.... I got her to keep him company. Oh she loved cookies.... So I gave them each one. Of course Rosie ate hers promptly while PowCho searched out the perfect spot to drop his.... He dropped it and got one little snatch grab and move in .... All the wile Rosie was watching him..... Like.... "What the....?" As soon as he raised his head up the second time you saw a short brindle flash zooming by and Powcho's Cookie was Gone. He was stunned she was amazed at her good fortune....

I switched to piggie ears and that stopped that....

Quote: Whew! That was a lot! I need to get back to work now. The sun is out and the winds a high. Everything is really greening up here after the 3-4 inches of rain we had the past few days. :) I love spring!
I havent been published... I hope to soon though.

Arabs are good you just have to research your blood lines. If you can find a Crabbet bred you are in for gold. One of the oldest unmolested bloodlines in the US. My horse before Katee was desert bred.... Half Arab and Half Standardbred... OMG what a great mix. He looked Arab and had all the great qualities of an Arab but he had size and the temperament for driving a two wheeled vehicle OFF road.... I could drive him and our card down the high way for a quarter mile to trail access.... during that time we would be passed by huge earth trucks from a sand and soil company.... All he would do is swivvel his ear to me to hear if I was getting upset. As long as I was good he was good.

91?! I'm working out...it's 40 here! Like a mini heat wave! But I'm having water s well!

Its a heat wave here.... unusual for this time of year. We had another in around the middle of January... 91 then too.
Medeterranian climate here in San Diego means 70 ish winter days and 80-90 ish summer days. With a few variations.

I drink about a gallon of water per day year round. With the occasional Iced Tea or Lemonaid and very very occasionally soda. I have a Quad Esspresso for breakfast... ahem... so caffiene drinks dont interest me.... I want the real stuff when I get it.

Hi WBF. I hope you guys have a nice, safe and productive vacation. May God watch over you! :)

Just prayed for you and please soak up some sunshine and blue waters for us, will ya?  Was missing you and wondering where you were.....  :hugs

We are getting so many folks on the porch that my mind is reeling!! :th   Now I remember and am so happy for you!  Of course, we are expecting many pictures of this adventure.

Y'all have FUN!!! Don't smoke the cigars. Bad for you.

Woohoo.   Have fun.   Quite a change in weather.      :lau

So many pretty eggs!  I bet a rake will fix the driveway.  When does the gravel come?

I love horses too, but I want one that is 17 hands.  :)  Watch out for those Arabians.  They are so inbred here a lot of them are crazy.

Is this like a 50 Shades of Gray book (Note: I did not read that book!) or more like Thorn In My Heart by Lizz Curtis Higgs?  I love LCH's books.

With all that trouble, are you sure he was a buddy?  ;)

Have fun!  What a neat place to visit.

How cool!  Have they been published?

How exciting!  We hatched duck eggs in my 6th grade class.  Only one out of the 12 hatched. We named her Fred.  I haven't a clue why I still remember all that. lol!

You forgot Sasha!  ;)
My older (much older) sisters had a turtle in a box in the garage when I was a baby.  My mom was pulling into the garage with me in the car and I told her "Don't touch turtle".  Those were my first words.  :)

You are one busy woman!  Very funny too. :)  I love reading your posts. Your coop is a nice color too. I like it. :)

What is it about Great Danes that make them think they are lap dogs?  :)

Thanks everyone ! Just sat my butt on the plane and awaiting take off :). Catch ya'll in a week and God Bless !
