The Front Porch Swing

Type setting by hand used Lead cast letter forms designed so that a person could grab them and set the letters in a clamping arrangement to form a page or paragraph. Those letters were held in containers The upper cases held the capitalized letters The lower cases held the small letters....

Just thinking logically. Am I right?

deb
EXACTLY right.

re acronyms:

And then there is one for the EXTREMELY funny.
ROTFLMAOWPIMP
Rolling on the floor
Laughing my *** off
While peeing in my pants

Boy did THAT take some figuring out when I first saw it!

Well, we are closing on the new house next Friday. Too excited! (or is that !!!!!!)

I am actually going to be able to see it on Thursday at 5:30 pm before we sign on the dotted line on Friday at 9 am.

About 6 years ago, I was emailing back and for with a friend, and I made a funny comment and she responded with "ROTFLMAO". I was dumbfounded. What the heck?! I was at work at the time so I put it in the back of my mind pondering it for about an hour, and eventually called her and asked her what she meant. I guess that is a lot more intense than a LOL!

Hey, Blooie - I am updating the maps at work and I need to work on the Cowley map on Monday. I think it will take about 2 minutes... anything you want me to add?
How about LSHISOS?

Glad that things are on track with the house....we'll need more pictures so we can determine if it's a suitable abode for a woman of your character and discerning taste.

And I either missed something or I've forgotten something, and the thought of scrolling through page after page to find it doesn't thrill me much. Maps? Help me out a little please?

Sorry, Blooie, I didn't mean to confuse.
You were talking about your hometown a little while back, so when the Cowley map updates hit my desk on Friday, I naturally thought of you.

I work for the Wyoming DOT in their mapping department. Maybe I have been working too hard and have forgotten how to leave work at work...

I am pretty sure that Cowley is one of our city maps, I worked on the Fannie map a couple of weeks ago. These are city maps that we maintain, just line drawings that show streets, street names, hospitals, schools, granges, and such. Some of the "smaller towns" are just insets on the county maps we have also.
I'll have to check the map on Monday, I will definitely make sure the Log Gym is shown. It sounds important for the community. Where is it located?
I can email a PDF or send a printout if you are interested in seeing what we have.

Oh, girls! The sunset tonight was stunning!

It filled the whole sky and was a light show of peach, pink, orange, yellow, purple and blue and it just got deeper and more beautiful as it sank into the horizon. I couldn't help but keep praising God for that private showing of His glorious handiwork...and then the whippoorwill started to sing and a turkey let out a final gobble as it went to roost. It just floors me....God is so good to me!

Well...I no longer have a nest box in my bedroom and that feels good and a little strange~it's only been there since February!

I built a rooster pen back where I had the cheap meats penned this past fall/winter and Mr. Randy Pants is now ensconced in his own digs. He didn't like it and escaped straight away. I reinforced the pen and waited until he went to roost and put him back...he tried to fly out again and hit a wall of netting. Bee: 1~ The Rock: 0 in that final game.

I put my heating pad back to work up in the brooder to keep the youngin's warm and was pleased to see that they didn't need trained on how to use it...they were all under there when I checked at dusk, except little Don'tgiva Hoot, which had to be assisted into the brooder due to weak legs. I expect he will die in the night.

Started working in the salad plot and didn't get far...this back is going to be my master this garden season. Currently sitting with ice on my back and it feels oh, so good!

I hope all you ladies have a blessed Resurrection Day tomorrow and I pray you all feel the joy we should all feel as we remember the day that Death was defeated and we no longer have to fear it.

I thank the Lord for taking my sin as He died for me, so that I might live. \0/
