Everyone has their own meatloaf recipe, and everyone sticks to theirs because they think it's the best way to make it. It's usually the one they grew up with, but in some cases they didn't like the one they grew up with and either developed their own or switched to salads. Doesn't make one meatloaf recipe the only meatloaf recipe - just makes what works for you the right one.I am not Christian either... at best I am Agnostic... I believe all religions fit the needs of the people who follow them. I do have a problem with the Bible for similar reasons. All religions will have the same issues. And its for purely scientific reasons... Translation. as human language has evolved so has some of the meanings of words. Sanskrit to Hebrew to Greek to English (from the dark ages) to King James.... to modern English... Even if the translator's hand was guided by a Divine being. There will be some changes to meaning.
That being said I think the Bible is a beautiful piece of literature. ANd an excellent set of rules to live your life by No matter the translation.
Please dont blast me its not fair. I have a right to my point of view. I rarely voice it.
