Wow! I'd kill for the hair on that boy. How is that even fair?
Ha! I'll tell him that!

Sort of joining the front porch party a little late. Hopefully not too late.I come to the front porch from windy Oklahoma. It's been a rough couple of months for me. I live with my Grandparents on my mother's side. I lost my Grandparents on my dad's side just these past couple of months. My Grandma Freda passed away in December from uterine cancer. My Grandpa Cleo passed away in March. He missed my Grandma just too much. Mother's day was hard, as I kept thinking of how wonderful she was to her children and grandchildren, and how I can only hope to be half of the fantastic mother she was one day. Thankfully, I've been joining in hobbies that make me feel closer to them, even though they are gone. My Grandpa always gardened with my Grandma. They were both quite the green thumbs. She quilted and also had chickens. I've stated on one of two quilts, started my first garden (We have our first tomatoes growing!
), and, of course, added a flock of chickens. I feel closer to ever to them now, but I do still catch myself about to call my Grandma on the phone to tell her about things. I am blessed though, I have a wonderful boyfriend, great family, and a great legacy left to me by those who have gone on. Hope it was alright to vent here.![]()

LOL... we lived in Roswell in the Very Early sixties... Like 60-64 or thereabouts. Never heard of that ailen stuff. Nor did we hear about anything about area 51 when my dad worked there. Dad was part of a design team that built several missile silos in New Mexico. Then when we moved to Vegas he worked for EG&G which was the primary contractor for people to work in the Atomic test sites and Area 51. Dad was one of the ones that rode the bus with the blacked out windows. But you know he always talked about going out to Jackass Flats. He had a Secret clearance too. So some of that stuff he NEVER talked about.Hi deb nice to know you I see you have horses too that is a beautiful one you have posted. Yes Roswell is quite the place with all the little green men running around... however, I do plan to take a run up there soon I hope, but not to see the green men, but to see Mine That Bird. Did you see the movie? He lives outside of Roswell?
