Not Blooie here but Soft shell gal had an episode of laying two per day for a couple of days and finally layed a normal egg.Blooie, has your chicken with the egg laying issue straightened itself out? anymore soft shells?
Any recommendations for dealing with an English Setter and spear grass? only one spear got past my nightly inspections so far to cause an infection but I got it cleared up right away.

I cooked my first pullet egg today. It was a tiny little thing, and a double yolker! Bless her little heart, at least she's trying. So, of the new girls, I think one of the BSL has laid 2 eggs (skipped a day) and so far, one egg from the pioneer.
