No, but cameras and I don't really mix, and I hate listening to my own voice, it sounds so weird compared to how I hear it in my head. I do look more natural on video than in photos though, the only decent photos of me are from when I wasn't aware of the camera. If I know someone is taking a picture of me, I look super weird.

I'm doing better at being comfortable in my own skin, I think most of us think we look different in pictures than we imagine ourselves to be. I'm 5'3" 170 in real life, in my head i'm 5'9" and svelte.

Thank you for sharing! This video speaks to all of us. Would you have picked any of those characteristics to change? The children "get it" more than we adults sometimes. Don't you think? May it always be so, but I fear it is changing.
That was a nice video. I'd like to change my eyes, it would be nice to be able to see without glasses. I don't mind the way they look, but they get in the way sometimes. For instance, halloween costumes that require a mask are out of the question.
For me, looking bad in pictures isn't me being uncomfortable with myself. It's just that I can not for the life of me pose for a camera. I look super weird in every photo that I try to smile for. And trying not to smile looks weird too. I don't really have a weird smile, I'm perfectly happy with my reflection in the mirror. Sure, I'm losing a bit of hair, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that, Jason Statham looks handsome even though he's going bald. And Bruce Willis. And I could have a bit more muscles, but that would be easily fixed, it would just take a bit of an effort.

I do not think that they are " wiser", but they are not yet influenced by all of the garbage out there that says what is "pretty." Sadly, though, we are not allowing our children to be children anymore. So many are " little adults", imitating adults and being involved in matters that children should not even have a knowledge about yet....
While that is true, a lot of kids have a knowing of who they are and aren't influenced at all by society. The media just wants us to think they do by shoving shows and ads in our face. Ugh, TV is not good for little ones or us.
My daughter has known exactly who she is and why she is on this planet since she was 2.
Where those words came from at 2yrs old is beyond me. *proud mama*
Yes, thankfully, God has given these little ones of ours strong minds of their own. I have five and each and every one is different , but hopefully we, as parents, will have more affect on who they will become than TV and Hollywood.
It is so important to lay a foundation of core values for our children today, and TV is not the place to find those...

I so get that! I ALWAYS look frumpy in pictures. I started looking at my step daughter and grand daughter and they actually always, ALWAYS, pose. With a little observation i've figured out that turning to the side just a smidge, one hand on the hip (not thrust out like the supermodel i'm not) and a bend in one knee stops the frump! Well, as much as possible anyway.
Haven't figured it out for guys but there is a trick out there somewhere. And I LOVE my husbands bald head!!
