Rats. I was SO ready for the "cheap, easy and available" method. Guess I now have to measure the girls' legs and see what size bands to buy.

Hey guys and girls
Adjusting to living in Vancouver, WA. Love it, love it. Just getting away from the Shreveport heat and humidity is fine. I can handle the slight rain up here. The subdivision is on a hill so the land slopes down back to front AND that means no chickens. Sad about that but lots of room on the deck to container garden.
Blooie, thanks so much for your supporting words on the death of my beloved daughter. What I thought was a visit is now permanent. I'm grateful Aimee got me safely away before she chose to take her journey. It's been five weeks now and I'm doing well. I will be happy again. No need to talk about this. I'm fine

I am from a town about an hour from Portland in Oregon, if Mt. Hood wasn't so distinctive, I would have thought I must be looking at a different mountain! It makes me happy to hear others excited about moving to an area we are looking at. I am glad you are loving it. I will keep you in my thoughts. I know nothing I can say will help with the hurt of loosing a child, but I will be thinking of you.
Which town Alice? My Dad and step-mother moved to Yamhill in ~1976. From there they moved to McMinnville then Wilsonville. My step-mother died ~8 years ago, Dad just moved back to So. Cal a few weeks ago. My college roommate lives in Oregon City.
Dad was saying the same thing about the Sierras and lack of snow when he flew back and forth this year. No snow at Tahoe? Never seen that in the nearly 40 years he travelled between Oregon and So. Cal.
Very small indeed! Yep, I think the Yamhill sign said 480 when they moved to Yamhill and 640 by the time they left. They were originally on a RR but someone decided the roads should have names so they "moved" to Puddy Gulch Road. Who makes up these names anyway?!?!?
