Yes. Yes he is. And I could not be happier about it
Today I went school shopping the whole day. It reminded me that school is just about to start and my summer is almost over. The end of summer/ start of school depression is hitting me fullll blasssst.
I did not see the Fuzzy-Butt Thundering herd Of wisco all dayy. I missed them. When we got home it was almost dark. I thought that the birds would roost in their newer home, but nooo. Apparently, they still remember the place where they grew up, and they are not letting it go without a fight. I ran fast to the "grainery" because I feared what my birds would do to the golf ball sized fuzz ball cornish cross chicks. I ran into the old coop, and the first thing I saw was a lone cornish chick in the middle of the floor. I thought it was dead. I poked it. It screamed and ran away. I then realized that the heat lamp was off. I peeked into the little chick pen. There was a bunch of chicks in one corner, another bunch in the opposite corner. They must have been freezing! Poor babies. I dont know how the heat lamp turned off while we were gone, but we turned it back on ASAP. Then I heard peeping from one corner, and I turned to see another bunch of chicks out of the chick pen! I got them all in. I have no idea how they got out of the brooder. They all survived though.
Now what about MY 7 babies? I didnt think they were in the coop, so i turned to go look outside when I heard a "buuuuck bok-bok buuuuuck" I turned to see two large shapes on the shelf. There they were, roosting in their original roost. I took them back into their new home, two by two. Looks like they will be stuck in the "ark" tommarow too. I dont know how to get it in their heads that they dont live in the old coop any more.
