My dad found a pigeon this morning under a bridge while fishing. He took it home because it's wing was trapped in fishing line. We are pretty new with this type of bird. Could anyone tell if this is a hen or a cock?

Could go either way. Looks like female. More like a dove than a pigeon

Looks like a hen to me but it can be tough to sex the feral birds, they regress towards the wild type and lose some of the characteristic in domestic breeds that make them easier to sex.
