Darlene continued to slowly climb the Lookout Point Tree. She saw glimpses of black and red feathers. Iris she thought.

Bandit, still perched on her tree, spotted the Lookout Point tree. How in the feathers do they even see Eaters from that thing? She wondered. The tree was overlooking the forest, but it couldn’t have had a good view of the ground because it was blocked from sight by the canopy. Besides, it seemed so far away. How would the sentinel be able to spot anything?
Not my problem. Bandit thought, flapping down from the branch. It took her a few minutes before her head shot up again from where she was pecking at the ground. That IS my problem! Dang Eaters!

Coal scratched around on the ground, constantly clucking to himself as he found yummy grubs and seeds on the forest floor.

Darlene continued going up the tree but when she got to the top she couldn't go any further because Iris would spot her so she just sat there like a mini sentinel until she got bored.

Darlene began to back down the tree. It was a lot faster than going up. When she was halfway down she climbed to the very tip of the branch. Even for a bird with wings it was terrifyingly tall so she continued to go down the tree.
