The Great Egg Shipping Experiment!

If you have bought a couple of shipments of eggs from someone totaling well over $100 is it too much to expect them to answer a couple of simple questions within 2 days?

I think I know where I won't buy eggs again! Some of the attitude of some of the sellers you would think they are the only place where eggs are available. If they don't have time or really don't want to they honestly should just quit!

I will post pictures on my next shipment. I have had pretty good luck . knock on wood.

I put larger bubble on the bottom and sides.
I use 4x7 1/2 " bubble pouches . get 500 for about 40-50 bucks on ebay.
wrap them and put them in the box with the big end up.
you have to get them in there snug. I can get 16 generally in a box
I use another large piece of bubble on top.

Can someone please help me? I need to know where you all found bubble wrap the cheapest. I found a little roll at the post office for abt. 5.00. I sent one box and just the shipping and the bubble wrap cost me 20.00. There has to be a way to send stuff cheaper?

I collect bubble wrap all year. The best place I found it was at an autobody mechanic's shop. They get parts in and the painted ones are wrapped in bubble wrap. I scored a whole trunk and backseat full on one trip. They started saving it for me and I didn't have room to store it all! The smaller stuff can be bought at Walmart for $2 a roll and it will do about three dozen eggs. I cut the roll into thirds and then make a two layer wrap. Try pharmacies, vets, hospitals, and electronics stores.

Thank you Wisher! I knew there had to be better places than the post office to buy it! I am shipping some of my homemade Hickory and Pecan syrup to Ok. and I need a bunch of bubble wrap to keep the jars from breaking.

I get mine on ebay. the 4x7 1/2 bubble wrap pouches work the best for me.
I buy 12"x100 ft rolls of the larger stuff to do the tops and bottoms /sides of the boxes

7 EE's & 11 of the Marans eggs from the last shipment went into lockdown. Keeping my fingers crossed!
