Thanks, Oz... but right now, my Black Australorps are just getting going... none of the eggs are over 40 grams yet, and they're covered by a RIR roo at the moment. I have a Black Australorp roo coming online in about 3-4 weeks, and he will be put with the Black Australorp hens. My White Jersey Giants are up in the air right now... hoping within the next couple of weeks, they'll be laying, but they are slower to mature, and they're the same age as the RIRs & Australorps, so who knows when? The roo I have planned for them is only 6 weeks old, though. So, when I DO get purebreds (and guaranteed that they are purebreds, since the 2 roos I have that are anywhere near enough to be able to fertilize them, need to be separated from them for at least 30 days), I will let you know.
