No, but watch the rest of them.Well, they do not have micro cracks...that my eyes can still see... (They kinda glow with the flashlight)
Do you think I should throw away ALL of the eggs from that shipper, even the ones without spots?
OK, i tossed some, and kept one maybe seeping one, that looked like it maybe wasn't clear, but I put it in a corner of the incubator, and if it clearly seeps it will get tossed.
I did a thorough candling of ALL of my eggs and tossed some OBVIOUS dead in shell. I am leaving early tomorrow, and not coming back until late Sunday, and want to not have nightmares of exploding eggs while I am gone.
I left two iffies, the one maybe seeping and then one that I thought was OK at candle, but then right now I wondered if it smelled a bit, or if I am imagining things.
Anyway, both of those are in a corner, surrounded by clean paper towels, and a responsible child will check them every day while I am gone and smell the one, and check for seeping on both.

I'm sure there are better places to post this question, but I've been reading this thread for weeks and feel like I know you guys and respect your knowledge. I'm hoping to get some BCM, Welsummer and Cream Leghorn eggs to hatch; locally if I can find them, shipped otherwise - if I can find someone who will pack them in a manner similar to what I've learned here. I was then going to fill out my incubator with my own eggs. I have several sweet EE ladies and a gorgeous EE roo. BUT he is the brother, half-brother and son to most of my girls. Is this a problem? Certainly would be with some other animal breeding, but I've heard in passing people talking about their son/brother being used but no one addressing it directly. Thoughts?![]()
It is not a problem. EEs have good genetics anyway. They will be fine.I'm sure there are better places to post this question, but I've been reading this thread for weeks and feel like I know you guys and respect your knowledge. It's usually not a problem. Chickens can take a lot of inbreeding.
