The Great Egg Shipping Experiment!

I am going get a shipment of Blue\splash Australorp eggs tomorrow and later this week I should get a shipment of Single comb RIRs and Partridge Rocks form Dick Horstman.

Dick ships old school so we shall see how his compares to the new school Wisher way of shipping.

I will post pictures of both shipments.

I have spent the last few days reading all the posts in this thread and let me just say I have learned so much and thanks to all of you for your knowledge! My first bunch of hatching eggs should be arriving tomorrow and thursday through the hopefully kind USPS.

I have my brand new hovabator 1588 all set up and ready to go. I am getting some delaware and BBS maran eggs, plus I am going to put some of my own eggs in there just for a reference as I know I have some decent fertility. A broody is sitting on some right now, 6 of 6 are fertile, they are due next wednesday. I am really excited for this, have a feeling that it may be addicting though...I am already searching for eggs for my next batch.

Ok second set also welsummers cost of eggs 10.25 and 12 dollars for shipping eggs were packed nicely paid for 6 received 7 and all arrived safely

My shipment of Black, Blue and Splash Australorps arrived today. It is packed old school--in sawdust!

All of the eggs are in good shape but I sneezed a bit getting them out and now I need to vacuum!

Pictures soon--I need to get them off of the camera.
