Yes! The package was heavy. He charged $21.00 to ship that baby...Worth it if they hatch!

I would have thought for sure that sawdust would pack tightly around the eggs, so much so that it would crack them when the box shifted and moved. Was it completely full, 3/4 full, was there room in there for the sawdust to shift as the box tumbled around?

It was completely full. There was bubble wrap on the top and bottom. The eggs were wrapped in foam and bubble wrap.

It is how Duane Urch has been shipping eggs for years. These were not from him though.

I am going get a shipment of Blue\splash Australorp eggs tomorrow and later this week I should get a shipment of Single comb RIRs and Partridge Rocks form Dick Horstman.

Dick ships old school so we shall see how his compares to the new school Wisher way of shipping.

I will post pictures of both shipments.
i have 72 dick horstman eggs coming in a few weeks. i hope they make it better than the 48 frank reese eggs post office called to say come and get them - they wont deliver them because they are really smashed up and leaking egg every where.

We would be interested in pics of that box and packing method, if you can, Oz.
