They say to wait 24 hours before assisting. I've helped before and it always seems like it does more harm than good, whether they make it or not. Hopefully the chick is just resting.

Understandable... but since it did get cool to cold, that may delay it a bit... beak is clear, so only thing I'd be careful of is checking the membrane for drying...

I wasn't a believer in that until today. #1 hatched as #2 pipped. #2 was taking its sweet time zipping until our girls came home from school and starting singing to the incubator. Then it busted out!

Yeah, but Mr. P moved all the stuff out of the way (except the incubator--I moved that, all 3 pounds of it (maybe less--probably less

)), painted everything including the trim, went through his books and eliminated 3 boxes worth, and is putting stuff back. I need to do something to help...
