The Health Care Law.

Excuse me, but where do you think subsidies come from?
I didn't say I agree with subsidies. I'm saying that is what will probably happen to help control costs for the consumer, and it won't be only the poor who will benefit. The grossly obese, the smokers with the hacking coughs, the diabetics, cancer patients, those with heart trouble... This country is so freaking screwed up with priorities. Why not go after the tyrants wasting taxpayer money on nation building and bombs? How about the crooks in Washington making 6 figure incomes, and lifetime pensions? How about the idiots who think monitoring a shrimp on a treadmill is a good use of taxpayer dollars? Isn't there something more justifiable to ***** about than a desire to make sure American citizens have basic health care access or a pill to prevent unplanned pregnancy?

It seem to work pretty well up until say the 60's.... maybe we are smarter now?
You seem to think you are pretty smart, but your argument is about as logical as saying gas prices in the 80s were cheap so there is no reason we should pay high prices to drive today.

Of course we should try to change the trend of unplanned pregnancy, and the most logical part is making sure unplanned pregnancies don't happen by making birth control easily accessible. What do you propose? Arresting people for having sex without the intent of making a baby? Or do you honestly believe you just need to tell everyone to "keep their pants on" and the problem will be solved? You have avoided the issue that aggressive men are a part of the problem of unplanned pregnancy. What is your solution for that? Blame the women?

This issue is really one in which the Republicans are looking more irrational (kindly put) with each passing day.

Quote: I don't know where you are getting your information, Birth Control is not free to most ladies. Yes it is covered by insurance but we pay for it, We also have to pay our part as well. I know I did and know so does my GROWN 22 year old daughter. Who by the way pays all her own bills and does not live at home.

Now wait a minute... are we talking about a medical procedure that bankrupts people or 15.00 to 40.00 a month here. Seems hardly a benefit for such a quarrel.

Any pill that is needed for medical reasons should be covered by your insurance if you pay for that service but not just to disrupt a normal fiunction. I don't plan on using maternal coverage for my self so why should I help others buy it?

Look at the bright side your decision making involves a third person now... Uncle Sam.

Just out of curiousity when your stressful occupation's healthcare costs exceed your ability to buy insurance what will you do ? quit or find a different job.
And Arizona's anti birth control bill would require women such as punk-a-doodle to prove to the employer that she needs birth control pills for medical purposes, i.e. turn over her medical records. That is just disgraceful. Republicans think they are for freedom and limited government? Its sick.

Seriously! Why are we getting tied up in the birth control issue when there are soooooo many more problems out there?
I have Multiple Sclerosis and am not eligible for any assistance. I don't need it. If I weighed 350lbs and had a BMI of 50% I would. You guys could be paying for everything.
There are so many things that need fixed. VOTE an make a difference. I hate limping while I shop but I do it. If I would've just gotten fat instead of working so hard to keep a healthy weight, BMI of 24.1.

I think the problem we have with the BC issue is when the Democrats trotted out someone [Sandra Fluke] going to Georgetown Univ. an elite Catholic university, which requires huge tuition fees to attend, as their victim example of someone who required that their BC be paid for....Of course, it was also a cheap shot against Catholic institutions, trying to enforce one section of the HCL, and was recognized as such.

What's the difference between the state having access to your records or the Federal Govt? What do you think electronic record access is about?

It has already been pointed out how a condom differs from a pill.

. Women pay for their own diaphragms, but it isn't going to cover the health risks and issues previously touched upon. Similarly, I haven't seen a man get Viagra out of the vending machine. Nice try though.
Women still use diaphragms? That is a really nice try. Not after the TSS scare.
