That's the point. The argued issue was found to be unconstitutional and it should have been kicked out to be brought before the SCOTUS again under its real agenda, a TAX. That is where I differ with the court, the Justice that was the deciding vote based his vote on the tax fact and the TAX was NOT supposed to be part of the Obamacare package, even though we all knew it was LOL. Judged on its own merit, Obamacare was found unconstitutional as worded under the commerce clause....it should not have been up to the Justice to make the ruling by changing his view of the fine(tax). He used his opinion after deciding the facts didnt fit.
So you want a judge with blinders and no commonsense ? sorry but I on't think their job is to not see the facts and kick the can down the road. You said "judged on it's own merits" and that's what happened. On the laws merits it was constitutional.

And I think that some of the papers filed with the court called it a tax.
I don't think this judge would vote for the law but he put his personal opinion aside and went with the rule of law.

Post #2,000. How can it be a tax on one hand, if I voluntarily pay money to a private company, but if I don't , it is a punitive punishment given to the govt.?

Is the govt. going to be running every single dime of the transaction between the individual and their insurance company through their slimy fingers, and siphoning off a percentage? Sounds like Mafia protection money to me.

Some nice healthy kneecaps you've got there. I'd sure hate for something to happen to them and you end up on the government healthcare.

His decision was for a larger role down the road.....if you think todays SCOTUS isnt playing the same game as the rest of the Washington DC idoits then you have blinders on haha. Gotta love politics! I want honesty not games...I want fairness..not politics....Roberts couldnt win if he struck down the vote, but he could affect the future for one side(or a large portion) of our country.

Depending on ones political views, his decision is good or bad...again, looking past the football game they are playing with obamacare.

We have gone to war over how we are taxed before....sometimes its the game that gets out of control.

Let's be honest. The Democrats had this monstrosity prepared long ago, and were just waiting until the numbers in the Congress were right to shove it through.

On its face, it is a huge fraud perpetrated upon the people of the United States.

What legitimate lawyer would advise his client to sign a 2700 page contract without first going over the fine print?

Why does the person with more kids pay less in taxes ?
