Ah it's been a while! Some updates:
- I will be getting my rooster this weekend! I'm liking the names Rowen and Winston...
- I took out 1 out of 2 of the dog houses in the run. It was the one the littles were using to get up to the top board of the run.
- Found out the babies could still fly up there even without the dog house as a stepping stone... So I screwed a board in going from the tree to a post and painted it white for a new roost. With the help from my wonderful mother, I clipped their primary feathers so they couldn't fly very high. Checked on them tonight to watch them try out the new roost once they realized flying to the top board was impossible. They both seemed to like it!
- Peep went broody about three days ago. I got some more fake eggs for her, (and because I somehow lost one). I'm letting her be broody since she rarely becomes broody, and when she does, she quickly snaps out of it. If it does become an issue, I'll do everything needed to break her broodiness.
I'll post some pictures later, but this is what has been going on!
