It seems like everyone has a line "name"
Maurice Wallace[FONT=Verdana, Arial] had six lines of Reds that he named after six of the Indian Nations maybe it's about time I "name" my line something.
Wallace has the Mohawks, Oneida, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga and the Tuscarora.
Maybe I'll have a Mingo or Chippewa line. [/FONT]

The Rose Comb Line I have been working on is out of Dick Horstman Rose Combs and Denny Myers Single Combs and I have been breeding this line for about 6 years.

That's good to know, I've seen quite a few of your pictures and they are some good looking RC's. I can say that these that I have from Dick are extremely dark birds. Of course they are only 2 - 3 months right now. Getting really nice. I got 20 from him but lost 1 and I did sell 5 or 6 but still have plenty to work with.

Yes its a nice site to see. Next year there will be more to help the beginner get going just like last year witht the barred rocks and the New Hampshires. They are all over the place.

We need to promote a new breed for next year. Why not Buff Leghorns.

Know anybuddy who has good ones. Worth fooling with?

One thing you need to look for in your chicks in the next three weeks. Watch the rate of groth. Keep a eye on the ones who jump out in feathering and mark them some how so you can see how they mature. If they are real good in type. They are your best breeders for next year. bob

If a new breed is going to be promoted for next year we need to get some other folks promoting them. lol Gee I don't have any more room to do any other breeds. lol I'd have to hit the lottery and buy a big farm somewhere and put up more chicken buildings. Oh, guess I can't hit the lottery if I don't play it huh?

Dan Honour has some good Buff Leghorns. He posts here once in awhile.

Now I like that Buff Rock idea there Bob. If only I had the room for one more breed, I've pondered the idea once or twice before LOL

I got a message from a lady in Texas wanting to know about Black Javas. I forgot about this movement That I was helping last year..

They have worked hard to get a few of the Urch birds and scattered them around the country and are trying to breed them up to the Standard.

There is a fellow in the East Tom Roebuck who is a great breeder of Buff Cochins and he has some of the Perter son line and is improving them. One friend told me he really liked the type of these birds when he saw them at the big Cross Roads show. Take your pick there are so many poor breeds that need help. bob
