The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

Ryan I was reading a email I got from Bob and I sware he said this chick was a pure Don Nelson line bird. Does that sound right? Have you ever weighed this male or his brother?

I like them one of the nicest finished Red Males of the year in my eyes. bob

Just got my Rhode Island Red Club of England Year Book they did a very nice job making it. They only have 75 members and yet put out a newsletter every four months and a year book. Wish our club could do this.

Here is the article I wrote for them. It may offend some of those who raise Rhode Island Reds and especially bantams but that's the way I see it. I help people get started then contact them in three to five years and most of them are out of Reds or Chickens in general. So is there a right way or a wrong way to breed them. You be the judge and see in five years.

Just thought I'd post a couple of pic's of my 7 week old Underwood line chicks. They sure are growing nicely and their color is superb. Their legs are a very nice yellow with the horn color down the front of the legs and toes. These turned 7 weeks today.
