Just to let you know that I have the SC and RC Underwood. I have 3 pullets and 2 cockerels in the RC variety. They started laying just a day or two after turning 6 months old and I have eggs in the bator right now. Some are due to hatch Tuesday and others around the 20th that are already promised. I really didn't want to hatch from them this soon but I want to have a decent start for 2014 season. I have plenty SC's to work with but on these few RC's. These birds are so nice. JMO. I would like to have 10 - 12 hens and a couple nice cock birds to work with next year. I don't know right now if they lay as well as the SC's but I'm satisfied with my girls.I am in East TN, but I have Rose Comb (which some folks aren't fond of), and I won't have any to place until next spring.
They are Underwood line...
Thanks, I will. I do not mind a road trip. We have a place in Alabama, on lake Oliver. I will be trying to get into touch with them. You being in Ga you shouldn't have any problem getting some good stock most likely within driving distance and not worry about having to wait for the temps to cool down to ship them(save $$$ too) if you are up for a road trip and there are birds in Ga worthy of such. scribble,JamesA, William Bennet, over the line in Al. is Matt1616 in SC there are quite a few too. PM Robert Blosl on here for breeders and addresses email contacts.

That will be great. You can get a good start from a trio. I only have 3 of the RC's and have eggs in bator already from them. lolYou've been a great help to me. I'll try to post some more pictures of the "babies" that are looking like big birds now. Looks like maybe three girls and four boys .
