I like the bird BUT I really like that breast/long keel.
I use #11 on hens and the #12 are already pretty snug on most of my cockerels
Hey Steven, are you using the spiral bands or bandettes? I am ordering some of the #14 for my RC boys. I don't think the 12 will work for them. lol

Click this link http://www.strombergschickens.com/prod_detail_list/numbered-plastic-bands I was going to get 14 when I ordered my last ones but got 12 instead. lol Second guessing is no good. That's what I was worried about but hadn't found the bandettes larger than a size 12. Where did you get your 14's Jim
Roo looks good Ron. The trio I got from you are doing good. They are coming through the molt and I honk are going to be ok for our district fair. Thank again.
Bandettes I guess #14 is next. I would like to try something different though because I have had a few of these to break.I toe punch everything but the bands make it easier to identify individual birds.Hey Steven, are you using the spiral bands or bandettes? I have never had to go any larger until this year.So what is your preference to use when the 12's get too small?
I've never had one break YET. You better quit feeding them guys so well. Gosh I hope I don't have to get bigger snow shoes for mine. It's hard for them to carry the ones I had on them last year. ha,ha,haI have never had to go any larger until this year.![]()
