The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

I know it you can't tell by the photo and it says in the description 'vented on both sides'(top?) you can see the top vents on the exposed side if that's it I don't think it would "draw" like the old folks would ask about the fireplace in the old timey houses were supposed to be apt at doing so well. The boxes need the side/end vents for fresh cooler air to enter (lower) and hot air to rise up and exhaust out(top) IMO I guess one could put such but you'd have to have the fiber material filters to put over them too.

Jimmy,
Does the cardboard shipper have vents in the ends or just on the top?

Ron
Ron and all,
Got a call today, they were sending them out. As soon as I get them I'll let you know about the holes. Gee, maybe they aren't as good as I thought. They would probably still be okay for winter shipping. I'll let you know all about them when I get them. I can even include a photo or two. lol

I clicked through all the pictures and I didn't see anything that looks like the HRIR's. I had some of those and they do lay good but they are nothing like the HRIR's in type, color etc. Go back through some of the pages on this thread or go to my site and you will see the difference. I'm sure not being smart, just answering your question. If the HRIR's are what you are wanting you would be far better off waiting till winter/spring and getting a few chicks from some of the breeders on here. You are wasting money if the real deal is what you are wanting.
