HI shadi

Your birds look to be of very good breeding. As the Reds went around the world, maintaining them to their original type was difficult. In the hands of people over the years some birds were bred very poorly. I can say your birds were not. I don't know how much you know about them. Where did you get them? They look extraordinarily nice. Ver good type.

thank you very much for the responding...I heard about RIR from BYC a year ago and I start search for the breed here in Israe. In April 2013 I found a man who brought the breed to Israel from the u.s, and he is raising them up in his back yard. Wow I'm happy to hear that my chickens are a good breed. I'll continue subscribe and follow your site :-D

We are looking at getting road islands, our speckled Sussex lays beautiful brown/pinkish
eggs.. She was our first broody & good Moma hen... I wish we could post photos.. Our
iPad does not let us.. So we enjoy photos..

this is one of my three hens two months ago. She looks scared hhh

Her color isn't as even as we would prefer seeing. The photo below was taken at close range and the flash makes the red appear much brighter than it actually is.

Though illuminated by the camera flash, you can still see the depth, richness and even nature of the color.
Also you can just her legs and feet. You want to see nice, rich yellow with "horn" which are streaks of alligator type patches of reddish brown. You also want to see the dark, dark horn color on the beak.

Here the flash is farther away and the deep richness of the color is rendered better.
This is closer to what one should see in real life. Photos of these Reds is a very difficult challenge.
