WOW, my first grand kids posted on BYC. ha,ha,ha. They sure are cute little buggers. lol They won't look like gold nuggets very long. They will be really dark before long.
Yes, I would say cockerel also. He already has nice brick shape and long top line. Stands very stately too. Look forward to seeing pictures of your other line also. RonRIR chicks (Ron Fogle) hatched 4/29, raised with 3 Colloncas given to me at the same time they were heading for the brooder.(Chick on the left is Colloncas, behind it is another - they are rumpless SA breed and vary widely in markings)

One (which manages to be the focal point of every picture) is bigger than the other three, I feel fairly certain it is a cockerel, one of the other three I am sure is a pullet, the other two I am waiting for more signs. Today I am hoping to get pics of the first Fogle chick and the three Greathorse (Paul) chicks, hatched on March 29th and 30th so a month older. They are turning out lovely, with wonderful temperaments. I had the pleasure of visiting Paul yesterday, seeing his beautiful birds (he has a gorgeous cockerel which appears to be headed for the breeding pen this coming spring, and such good, consistent type among the pullets) and bringing home more eggs ...
