as normal, another fine product of Fogel farm. finally, glad to see some of your own personal results from this past season. I'm sure your glad to finally have some to post up too as you were quite the busy body this year what with getting everbody and yourself squared away in the getting it while the getting was to be got, LOL

Ron the first thing I did is blow up this shot and count the wires. Congratulation's you added two inches to your male line in one season.I would have been happy with just one inch in length growth. This is the kind of male that Ricky sent me a picture of the year before he died. He will fill out and look like a million bucks. He is got the brick shape extended keel and should have that classic tail that your males showed last year. I bet you will have more like him and maybe his sister will have more length like him and can be mated back to the sire who I hope was that nice male you photographed last year by the fence. Good Job. See if you put your mind to it = it will happen. bob
Bob, Thank You for the kind words. This male is the offspring of the male in my avatar and a hen I raised from one of the original hens I got from Ricky's son Jacob. I still have the original hen she is 4+ years old and every season she comes out of molt looking brand new. Ron

Thank you Sir.

Jeff this guy has had "swagger" since he came out of the hatcher.

So I reckon this is the end of the road for me here. My HRIR pullet that was doing bad passed away yesterday. So I guess this is where I say Goodbye.

Do you ever come to the Savannah area? I am looking to rehome my SC and RC RIRs. I just need/want more time for my 4 year old daughter that just started school and I have to reduce some bird around here to have that. They are both Rademacher line and very nice birds....

I came across this website and I think it is superb! I have had chickens all my life, but never HRIR and would like to get started with a trio of HRIR (rosecombs if possible). Can anyone have a starter trio available and willing to ship or can anyone direct me to someone who does? Please PM me the info. I would like to join the breeders of this magnificent breed.
Also out of curiosity, I have a question, on average, how many eggs can a HRIR produce yearly? I’m sure that has been posted elsewhere, but I have not been able to find it.
Thanks!

What state do you live in? A trio if you could someone to ship them to you will run about $250 $300 total for box and shipping. Got to be a better way to get a start of large fowl reds. bob

Click this link http://www.strombergschickens.com/prod_detail_list/numbered-plastic-bands I was going to get 14 when I ordered my last ones but got 12 instead. lol Second guessing is no good.

I bought those this year for the first time. I hate them. They can pull them off. I have half my hens and roos that don't have them on any more. And had a HRIR girl try to pull if off and got her back toe pressed against her leg. Now her whole ankle and foot is all swollen. Don't know if she is going to make it. Terrible.
