He lives in Lakeland Georgia. look at this old post and it might help you. I dont know if any of these folks got eggs or chicks from him but for the past two years he has sold a ton. Where are they and if they where shown they should win. bob

Dang!, He almost might as well be in Florida, lol. That's a bit too far to drive just for a handfull of birds... Guess I'll just keep waiting for that Clanton show in.... was it August or October...? (goes thread diving to find that post again).

*edted to update*
Yep.... google maps just confirmed it. 263 miles, 5 hours 19 minutes ONE way. That's just to far to put me and the birds through since there's no real way around having to make the round trip all in one day....

Awesome. Good to hear Bob, I tried tracking down the Bennet fellow, but so far no one that had his info still has it and consenses seems to be that he was talking about getting out of breeding for sale. Pity cause those birds were just too gorgeous.

look

Look at these females. They look like peas in a pod. There has to be folks that got birds from him and also we need to get some to preserve this line. If you have them or know a person who said they ordered eggs or chicks from him send me a personel email or message to me here and tell me their name.Maybe we can contact him and find out what he has left. There was a guy in North Carolina who got 50 chicks about 18 months ago. has any one heard from him? I lost track of him. bob

Good morning Jeff,
That is so funny, I just came back in from messing with the chickens and I thought the exact same thing about the color of the Horstman rose combs that I have. They are about the same age as yours and I have a young cockerel that is almost black. They sure are dark.
