"Don't think that's happening." Aella turned at the sudden, panicked voice behind her, speaking in a mixture of Spanish and English. Her face twisted in confusion. What is he saying...? Can't remember Spanish that great...
"¿Quién...eres tú?" Using her little knowledge of the Spanish language, her question was rather defensive, even if it wasn't quite confident.
Kylan nodded. "Unfortunately, I think you're right." He said, before also turning to see who Ciro was. "Uh...¡Hola!" He said awkwardly, knowing he wasn't very good at Spanish. Why do I have to be so awkward all the time?
Ciro regarded the woman before him, wanting to smile in greeting but unable to. "Ciro Delgado," he replied rapidly, as if he'd be able to fix this by speaking fast enough. "De Tepito, Ciudad de México." He looked down at the cooling bag with incredible forlornness. His family would be enjoying this rare feast right about now if only he'd made it home. "Pero esto ya no parece ser Tepito." He abruptly tuned into all of the other charged conversations happening around them. "Unless you prefer English?""Tricked?!" Aella's gaze quickly diverted from Ciro to Juliana. "I fell off a building! A building! I don't even know who you are!" Both of her hand instantly bust into flames, threatening to launch themselves at the girl. "Come over here and tell me I'm crazy to my face, why don't you?"
But, suddenly, she was wielding flames and threatening someone. Ciro backed up accordingly, not willing to become ashes in the simple pursuit of being polite. "Woah, señorita."
