Take was just about to get off the rock and head into the forest before Blair eventually joined him, giving her a hard stare from where he sat, “What do you mean?” he asked, completely oblivious to what she saw in his eyes moments ago, “You heard everything that’s going on, with that we-sa thing in the forest...” Something wanted him to get out of that spot and avoid Blair and the conversation, but he was too distracted by his thoughts of going after the creature."But you just said—" Aella's brows drew together in bemusement, but almost instantly her face fell. "The kids were eaten?" She echoed, taking a step back. "No, not...they can't have been...and I was alone...it didn't take me. They're just lost..." she glanced beside her, but both Blair and Take had abandoned her. "...right?"
Blair had stared up at him, just stared, waiting for an answer. But all she got was a red flicker in his gaze and a short, cold retort. "Take..." she whispered, but he was already leaving the barn. No, no, no. Not good...not good at all.
She turned quickly, following him. When she found him sitting on the boulder, staring into the woods, she hauled herself onto the rock as well, but didn't sit. She wanted to be angry for what he had said, and she was, but she was also concerned. The demon's supposed to be sealed away.
She crossed her arms over her chest, looking down at him, her emotions closed off. The wind tugged her hair out of her face; her voice quiet when she spoke. "What's going on?"
