The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Take ventured out deep into the forest, eventually finding the tracks left behind by the group earlier that morning, leading to the barn. Different shoe sizes, and even bare feet left in the soft dirt mixed with twigs and random sprouts of grass here and there. Now he was leaving prints of his own, in the opposite direction. He observed his now slightly brighter surroundings of the trees that canopied above him, letting in hints of sunlight. Everything didn’t seem as ominous as it did at night, but he could still hear subtle movement roaming about around him. “Alright We-sa... where the hell are you hiding..? I’m all by myself here..” he hissed, keeping his eyes peeled for anything that resembled the description and drawing of said creature.

(Seriously I wanna write 'Fighting happened' T-T )

Kipp hissed at the sudden pain, his compliant attitude vanishing replaced with vengeful anger. He instantly reacted, by punching the guy in the face. He staggered back raising his arm to lash out with his whip again. Kipp plowed forward tackling him to the ground, though not escaping another bloody welt from the whip snapping across his chest.

Frenzied panic had him doing things he couldn't imagine bringing himself to do. Repeatedly striking his fists at his face, hitting harder when his blows were blocked. Rage filled him, driving him to keep going, as though all the blame for everything that had ever happened to him fell to this boy who he had pinned to the ground.

A sliver of guilt wormed it's way into his stomach telling him to stop. His hands were red bloodied by both his own and the boys blood. Kipp shakily grasped the boys wrists and held him down panting as he tried to reign in the adrenaline that was screaming for him to keep going.

He hadn't ever been on the winning side of a fight before, not this kind of a fight. Winning didn't make him feel any better than losing. If anything it was worse. Kipp swallowed back the bile that rose in this throat, this kid didn't deserve to be beaten. Run. Run now before anyone else comes.

Kipp pushed himself away stumbling to his feet. His eyes met Ashira's for a brief moment in the darkness. She seemed completely shut off from what was going on. He grabbed her hand with his pulling her up despite the protest of his aching fingers, and grabbed one of the swords from the ground. Pulling her behind him as he ran toward Fred, and the others.
Fred looked up spotting two figures racing towards him, his vision blurred, probably from exhaustion, and he didn’t know who they were. His hand fumbled for something he could use as a weapon to protect himself against the newcomers. He backed away from them,

Aria sipped it uncertainly noting at any moment she or Kylan could shrink to young kids again
She felt the liquid trickle down her dry throat, she hadn’t ever thought something could feel as good. Aria hadn’t had water in what felt like forever ago. She poured more water not caring if she looked like a crazy animal as she drank finally quenching her thirst

Hana had settled herself near Aria and Kylan, resting up against a hay bale of her own when she entered the barn. She slept as peacefully as she could in the active barn full of dragons that swept down from the rafters every now and then, letting out small mischievous chatters around the heads of some of the group members. She effectively slept through yells of people quarreling though, especially since they were quite louder than the dragons.

Fred looked up spotting two figures racing towards him, his vision blurred, probably from exhaustion, and he didn’t know who they were. His hand fumbled for something he could use as a weapon to protect himself against the newcomers. He backed away from them,
He fumbled with the pick axe that he had used to carve the mine. He held it at arms length trying to look intimidating even though the two people could literally knock his frail frame over with two fingers, and he doubted the pick axe would do much except squash him

The boy unpeeled himself from the ground. Blood dripped down his chin from where he bit his tongue. He yelped, calling for reinforcements. Other boys and men with whips arrived, snapping them, chasing the harpy down, shouting.

Kipp did nothing but curse in his head at how stupid he was being, starting a fight with no way out. And then dragging Ashira into it, and now he was headed straight for Fred. He'd wasted his time to plan an escape route. He'd intended to wait until later. He should have just kept his head down and done what he was supposed to.

"Have you seen a way out of here?!" He yelled ahead to Fred, who he could clearly see with his night vision, hadn't the slightest clue who was running toward him. "If you have, all of you go now!" He yelled, he still was a ways away from them his voice echoed in the large chamber. Maybe he could at least cause a distraction and the younger kids would be able to slip away. "GO!" He yelled again, skidding to a stop on the loose gravel and turning to face the oncoming swarm of whip wielding kids, with a dull jagged sword. "You go too." He said shoving Ashira roughly toward the kids. "Run."

Fred let out a cry and ran towards Kipp holding his pick axe unsteadily, “maybe I can-whoa-hellllppppp” Fred stumbles under the weight of the heavy tool. He was sure he could knock a few kids on the head with the heavy metal tool-if he could figure out a way to lift it without dropping it on his foot. “I’m sure I can help actually” he stumbled again “I mean I saved you from the giant spider using rose clippers didn’t I?”

Realization that Fred wasn't going to get the kids out with the only chance they might get, had Kipp spin and start running once again toward the group of little humans. He wanted to yell at him, for being so incredibly stupid. There was no way they could win. But he couldn't bring himself to berate Fred for being so incredibly brave.

"Yeah, but we're not facing spiders today. Anyone that's staying to fight isn't getting out of here." Kipp yelled anxiously, he ducked down under the lower ceiling spreading his shortened wing out to maintain his balance as he continued toward Fred. Kipp frantically looked around for any way out, there were various gaping holes around the edges of the cavern, other tunnels leading away from there. He didn't know where they lead, probably other similar chambers but anywhere other than here would work. "Over there! Go!" He yelled pointing at a random opening that seemed to have a particularly low ceiling. "Come on! T-Torin? Noah! Uhhhh, Emma, Chion! Everybody GO!" He yelled.

(I've gotta go to bed now ni ni)

“Kipp! Come with us!” Fred urged “if you come we can get the kids out without anyone being harmed!” Fred didn’t wait for Kipps response, if Kipp chose to stay then Fred would hide the kids and come back, if Kipp came then they would keep going

"Why not?" Aella's face screwed up in obvious confusion at his words. She brushed it off, though, shrugging again. "'Course I'm sure. I already slept." Hunger, however, clawed at her belly, raging and growling softly. The urge to ask for food was incredibly strong, but they had already given them shelter, and most people who provided shelter didn't provide food. Like Grayson?
She rolled her eyes at the thought of her only source of shelter, then realized that Korim when still there and looked back down at him, her fingers toying with the knot of the flannel around her waist. "I'm fine. Let's go."
Great, how do I get rid of this burden?
“Please, I insist,” Korim said. But he had seen that look. Pure determination. “Alright, fine.”
He stomped into the house, where breakfast was being cleaned up.
Mam, who was dutifully doing the dishes, along with two of his younger brothers, looked up and brushed a greying black hair out of her face that had loosed itself out of her bun.
“What?”
The guests...” Korim quickly began to realize how stupid it was going to sound. He lifted his chin. “Wish to go to Malakum. They want to destroy the we-sa and get their children back. I told them it was a foolish decision but they insisted. I feel like we should send them off at least prepared.”
A grin slowly spread across Mallie’s face. She was still feeding her little daughter in the special high-chair her grandfather-in-law had built.
Oh! So they’re going to get out of those ridiculous clothes?” she asked hopefully.
An alarming pile of dresses appeared in her arms. “You look to be just my size!” she exclaimed, tilting her head sideways to study Aella. “I’ve never gotten to dress an elf before,” admittedly this was less beautiful that the pure elves she had seen, but she still had lovely golden hair. “Let me help you with that.”
Korim was all smiles. What a great way to get rid of his tagalong. “Thank you, Aunt Mallie.”
Her manipulating powers would save him the time of having to grab all of the supplies, but Korim wasn’t complaining. She did much better as a distraction.
Korim trotted off to get bags to carry their supplies.

A shadow slithered between bushes, around the thick undergrowth and close-growing trees. Even in the day, the Papercutter Forest was filled with shadows. Gold eyes appeared once, along with great wings hanging around it’s head.
A furry black hand covered Take’s mouth, containing a gold powder.
As the pink-haired-man sagged in its arms, the creature of shadows.
It rose into the sky, hardly noticing the weight in its long arms.

Noah dropped his pickaxe out of fear. He had just begun to develop a rhythm, the pile of stone accumulating substance, when suddenly a strange disembodied voice echoed down the dark tunnel, screaming his name.
Noah sat down, curling his arms around his knees and drawing into himself.
“What?” He blubbered. Was he doing something wrong?
