The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Lilith nodded. "That's him. And the blue thing in English would be called a bandana." She said, trying to be helpful.
She was grateful when he used his power to shed light on the ground, having started to stumble right before he did so. Torin used to call me Aunt Lili when he first started speaking, my name was one of the first ones he learned. I can't believe I never checked in with them. "Torin? Noah? C'mon boys." She called, nervous to get too loud. Whatever is in the woods might not be the only creature around here, knowing my luck we'll just call over something that wants to kill us.
She glanced over at his hand, watching the green light for a moment before turning her head away and looking back towards the woods. She hadn't really paid attention when he showed it to Ciro, being rather preoccupied with the idea of Torin missing. "That's cool. Your power. It's gotta come in handy. The only other powered person I've known is Kylan, it's odd, being around so many others." She murmured quietly, giving Tru a small pet on the head for having been so good so far.

Kevin nodded slowly. “Bandana. Huh.” he said, testing out the word.
He glanced down at her as she spoke. “Yeah, it does. It will be more useful when I can fully use it. You see, my babushka, she can fully heal most injuries, and push back the death date of some diseases. She’s sort of my towns healer.” He said wistfully. “Really? Where I’m from gifted people are very common.”

"Grade 12, I don't really go that much though, too many other things to do. What about you?"
He smiled at how easily she could make skipping school seem like nothing more than deciding not to have a cup of coffee in the morning. “I just graduated twelfth grade not too long ago. My first day of college was today actually, but based on how things turned out, it looks like I won’t be having to endure another one of Mr. Simmons’ physics lectures anytime soon,” he concluded, grinning at his luck.

Lilith looked up at him, interested in what he had to say. "That's amazing, I've... Never heard of anything like that." She murmured, brows knitting together. "What does 'babushka' mean? Something like mother, right?" She asked, stepping carefully over a large root sticking out from the ground. "I was told I got my powers from my grandfather, but I never met him, he was a cop who died in action. And there was other powered teenagers at my school when I went, but... I never was able to know them."

Name: Carson

Age: 23 years

Gender: Male

Physical description and abilities: Carson has green eyes with small flecks of gold on the edges of his irises. His hair is short and dark. His skin is tan and lean muscles can be spotted in his arms, legs, back, and stomach. He mainly wears navy jeans with a light blue t-shirt. He always has a ring on his middle finger with the design of a wolf on it. The ring helps him control his ability to talk to and understand animals. Without it, the animals crowd his mind to the point he can’t function due to them being so loud and overwhelming. When someone touches his ring, he becomes defensive and angry and will most likely attack without hesitation, using his skill with a dagger that he keeps on his black belt.

Personality: Carson has a sharp tongue and keeps a cool head in the heat of battle. Though he may appear tough and unwelcoming on the outside, he’s really just a big softie. He doesn’t trust easily, but once you’ve earned his trust, he will never betray you or leave you behind. He’ll risk his life for his friends without fear or hesitation. As long as they’re safe, he’s happy. If you’ve got a problem with him he’s most likely to just ignore you unless you insult his pet cougar he calls Buck or his friends. Rest TBRP

Other: Carson received the cougar ‘Buck’ because he works as a zookeeper and it is his responsibility to take care of him. After some years of saving up, doing odd jobs, etc., he has saved up enough to buy Buck from the zoo he worked at, though he pays monthly for keeping him in the enclosure. Sometimes, after the zoo is closed, him and Buck walk along the deserted pathways together and talk. Their bond is unbreakable and it has been since the day they saw each other, 5 years ago. Carson continues to save up funds in order to build a proper enclosure for Buck on his own land.

"Increíble. I'll look forward to watching you in action more." His keen smile drew closed with concentration when Cam's attention was drawn away by a boy with notably birdlike features. What would Tepito seem like to an American? "Well, it's home to me. Our tianguis -uh, vendor market- is fantástica," he started slowly. He scuffed his shoeless foot into the soft dirt, contemplating how to put his community's darker side appropriately. "But, from what I've heard, I'm sure it's not America. You've got to watch your step, you know? It can be amenazante, rough, especially at night. Getting home antes del anochecer is prioridad."
“I understand,” Cam said, turning over the exotic image in her mind of people selling exotic fruit on the street, or in a market. So different from buying produce from Walmart or Meijer, so exotic. But she could figure out from the context of his description what he was saying, about Mexico’s darker side, even though the only Spanish she knew was ‘no’ and ‘hola.’ That brought to mind the pictures of corruption that Central America was currently dealing with. Actually, it was harder to decipher the thick accent than figure out what the Spanish words meant.
As cool as Mexico may be, she certainly didn’t want to live there. “Mexico sure is beautiful, but that must be scary. Do you have a family back home?”
She turned her head and screamed “NOAH!” for good measure.

Aria looked wildly around. She thought she saw the kids who were missing multiple times. “Whoa” she walked straight into someone (can be anyone) “sorry” she mumbled
"It's fine!" Kylan said, catching himself before he fell. He smiled at her, to further prove he wasn't mad. "You good?"

“Yep”
Kylan nodded, glancing around. "I hope Torin's okay, I don't know what'd I'd do if anything happened to him..." He murmured under his breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. If I hadn't gone and got that stupid coffee... I'm never drinking coffee again-- Okay, that's a lie.

“Hey, I will help you look. I promise we will find him” Aria looked thoughtful “you know I can teleport us both into surrounding areas to look and bring us back if you’d like” Aria offered
