The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“W-what?” Aria looked shocked “my parents are probably freaking out. What are we going to do?”

”what do you mean curfew? Socialise? Aren’t these basic human rights?” Aria looked a little disgruntled having this officer bellow at them
“Haven’t you ever heard of social distancing? You have to stay inside because of the covid-19 quarantine,” the officer said, as if everyone knew that.
“Quarantine?” Cam asked. Haven’t you ever heard of we just saved the world?

Those stupid "don't worry" words had just left her mouth when the cop showed up, and she stopped dead, un-lighting her hands and raising them to be seen. "Sorry sir, sorry sir... Wait, curfew?" Missouri sucks. "I don't understand, what's going on? We're just going to, ah, my niece's party! She loves clothes like these, so we thought we'd surprise her. We're not from around here, we didn't know about a curfew."
“Your niece is having a party?” The officer saw right through the lie. In different circumstances, he wouldn’t have given it a second thought. But nowadays, nobody had any fun.

“Hey! What are you doing outside? Going to a party... uh... cosplay?” A group of quarantine police noticed the fabulously dressed teens, along with some who looked like they had just stepped out of a Game of Thrones movie. As far as the baffled officer could tell, there weren’t any parties or cosplays going on anymore, but these rebellious young teens obviously planned to go to one.
“Don’t you know about the curfew? Are you trying to sOcIaLIze? Get back in your home!”
He falsely mistook the storage unit for a home (because in this alternate Earth people really do use them as homes.)
Kipp stopped in his tracks frowning in confusion at the police.

"Curfew? Did world war three actually start while we were away? That was just a joke wasn't it?" He whispered loudly to Kylan. Not that he'd have any clue either.

"Co-Corvid? Isn't that like... crows?" Kipp asked stepping ever so slightly closer to the police.

"Yes sir, she's only nine. Long black hair, blue eyes, pale skin, looks a lot like me. My brother was a little late getting the thing together, so we're just headed there now. I'm sorry, has something happened that I don't know about? What's Covid-19? Last I was around there wasn't any martial law or anything." Lilith said, knowing he knew she was lying-- But hey, she was this far in. And that name, Covid-19? Sounded like it came from hell.

Take returned her tight embrace, leaning his head into her neck and squeezing his eyes shut. “Pretty much” he whispered, “Je t’aime aussi Blair. I promise I’ll come see you soon, no matter what.” He rubbed her back, taking in her sweet floral scent that he cherished so much and wouldn’t be able to admire until the next time they were together. Something suddenly popped into his head, something he had forgotten about long ago when they first came to Borealis. He cupped her ear and whispered some words, almost as if it was a secret to everyone else.
Blair gave a soft oh at his words, remembering that his was still stashed beneath her bed back home. "I'll remember that. I'll give you yours when I see you." She pulled away slowly, giving him a kiss, cupping the side of his face with one hand. "Be careful. Don't do anything stupid without me, okay?" She said when she pulled away, giving him a slight smile.
Kit sat at Blair's feet, tilting her head. Was Take not coming with them?

Nat was completely composed again and now she stood before what appeared to be a police officer -but if she'd learned anything, she knew not to accept what appeared to be- wearing practically an entire armory with her arms crossed and red brows cocked. "Are we sure this is actually Earth?" she queried lightly of no one in particular. "Because I really wouldn't be all that surprised if that Laurel guy put us in a simulation dimension for the laughs."

Kylan had to choke down a cackle at the fact that she hadn't disagreed to his idea of slapping their personal healer and samurai-chick.
Torin laughed, sticking out his hand so he could shake her hand all proper like his parents did with people. "Yep! I know, Kylan told me a lot about you." He giggled, smiling. "I like your name. It's cool. Ar-ee-aa. Nice."

She could feel his disappointment radiate off her, her powers tingling. She raised her hands as she strode beside him, lighting them up to a blue to guide her way. She smiled, knowing that a few months ago if she'd seen that light, she'd have seen just proof of her being a murderer.
"I live in Nashville, so I guess I'm pretty used to it. Not that I don't still hate it, though." Lilith said, shrugging. "Mine's April 28th, so I'm not sure. Maybe we will have to, I'm sure me and Kylan aren't the only ones." She said, committing his birth-month to memory. "Hold on."
She whipped her phone back out, flicking it on and checking the date. "It's... Man, it's April 19th already."
She glanced at him, feeling his anxiety. "I know this sounds stupid, but... Whatever it is, don't worry. I've never been to Missouri before, but there's probably plenty of Russians walking around with chickens... Yeah."

Kevin snorted. “Yeah, maybe. But most of them probably have IDs” he said.

(Just so everyone knows Kyle also has a landline phone on the ground. Sorry)
“My cousin Tyler tells me Russia smells like communism,” Noah put in.

Kevin opened his mouth, but paused, not quite sure what to say to that.

As the cops arrived, Kevin froze. He had no idea what they meant by ‘curfew.’ Last time he checked, America didn’t have a curfew. “Sorry, sir. We’ll be on our way,” Kevin said quietly, gesturing for them to go back to the storage compartment.

Kylan looked at her, brows furrowed. "What do you mean? For you, we could just say you accidentally teleported here. For Kevin... Eh, he got kidnapped. Just slap him a couple times so he looks the part. Same for Hana."

Kylan glanced at him, making a long 'uhhh' sound. "I... Good point. Maybe it is? I never opened it... That's how it works, right?" He laughed nervously, wondering if he sounded like an idiot. "I think like... I don't know. I'm probably seventeen by now."

Lilith walked back, collecting her phone from him. "Sorry about that." She murmured, pocketing it.
She glanced between him and the outside, smirking. "I... Oh, I forgot you weren't used to... America... Smells. Welcome to our lives everyday."
She caught a bit of Kylan's conversation with Kipp, her smile fading. "It's been months, I'm probably nineteen now. And..." She pinched the bridge of her nose with a sad sigh. "Forget the getting my car idea, it's been months without any payment. They'd've reclaimed it by now." Well, so much for Henry. I kinda had that in the back of my mind, anyway. I just didn't want to think about it. Great.
Once the storage door was pulled open, finally freeing the group, Hana stepped outside quickly. Being in a tight, stuffy space definitely made her uneasy. The smell of smog, dust, and just Earths natural aroma hit her like a truck, but what did she expect? She glanced at Kylan, raising a brow at his idea to smack around her and Kevin so they appeared to be kidnapped, “No one is making me look beat up, I live on my own and I doubt my family is concerned with my whereabouts.” She understood why they believed she still lived in Japan, as that is what she mostly talked about since she admired it’s beauty and charms when she did live there. “I live in San Francisco, I’m sure I can find a Greyhound bus to take me there...”
Kipp stopped in his tracks frowning in confusion at the police.

"Curfew? Did world war three actually start while we were away? That was just a joke wasn't it?" He whispered loudly to Kylan. Not that he'd have any clue either.
When the police officer appeared, Hana nearly yanked out her sword out of instinct. Sure she ran away from them often, but that was when was still a masked vigilante. It was different now. His words of ‘social-distancing’, ‘Covid-19’, and ‘quarantine’ completely bamboozled her. “What..? What’s going on..? And a curfew..?”
Don’t teenagers usually have a curfew?

“Haven’t you seen the news? The Coronavirus epidemic! The reason you don’t have school! Now go back to your parents and stop acting stupid!” a policewoman put in. She was running out of patience. These kids were acting stupid and wasting her time.

“I agree... are we sure this is Missouri?” Cam whispered back. “Kevin? Are you sure this isn’t your home?” Last time I checked they don’t have curfews in Missouri, but maybe I’m wrong.
“Wait. Coronavirus?”
Cam asked incredulously. “You mean the one from China? And we’re now being quarantined from it?” It took her a while to remember the jokes that were made at school about the Chinese virus. She had had other things to worry about. “It’s that deadly?”
