The sheath has fallen off. Charlie grinned maniacally. Some small part of him urged him to use caution, but he ignored that, of course. He waved the very sharp katana in the air victoriously. “My thneed made you bleed!”
Nat the mentally regressed did not react well to this.Juliana, still having some sense in her looked on with horror. These two should definitely not have a sword. They were likely to kill themselves or someone else.
"I think, the thneed is tired now. You should put it to bed... Both of them." She suggested looking between the sword and Nat who had a bright ribbon of blood running down her arm, and seemed completely unconcerned with her own mortality. Juliana took the jacket from her and wrapped it around her bleeding hand. "Bed time."
"Right, of course." Juliana answered, quickly coming up with an excuse she thought the girl would go for. "But see, if you don't take the bed, the other thneed will steal it. And we can't have that."Nat the mentally regressed did not react well to this.
"I'M." Okay, wait, wow where were the indignant sniffles coming from? Charlie? No way. Juliana? Strange. Nat herself? Preposterous. "NOT TIRED."
Nat grabbed Juliana's most local hand and proceeded to bleed profusely onto it. "Take me to this bed," she hiccuped threateningly. She was definitely ignoring the other hand rubbing at her itchy, watery eyes. "Now.""Right, of course." Juliana answered, quickly coming up with an excuse she thought the girl would go for. “I’m tired.” Charlie mumbled unhelpfully. In a moment of unexpected clarity, he spun in a slow circle in search of someone he distinctly remembered existing at some point. He then disappeared somewhere. And actually disappeared.Nat grabbed Juliana's most local hand and proceeded to bleed profusely onto it. "Take me to this bed," she hiccuped threateningly. Juliana made a face at the sticky warm liquid touching her, nodding at Nat. She led her to a mattress nearby and shook her hand off her supporting hand. Wondering how she was supposed to get medical help for her. Not that she cared that much, but since the kid responsible for the mess had vanished, she really should do what she could to keep this girl from dying.Nat grabbed Juliana's most local hand and proceeded to bleed profusely onto it. "Sit, and stay put." She said looking around for someone who worked here. "Maybe hold on to that so you don't die." She added waving her hand toward the mess that was dripping on to the mattress.
Juliana looked down at Nat, disgust written all over her face. She didn't know how she had assumed the role of care taker for this girl, but she was ready to pass that responsibility on to someone else. (My characters are open to rp if anyone wants to)Charlie collapsed on the chair next to Maya. “Hey,” he mumbled, waving his sword at her in what might have been a greeting. “This.” He explained, “Is my thneeeeeeeeed.”
Maya looked over at him and tried make a serious expression. Then, in something barely above a whisper, she said-
“Your mom calls me thneed.”
Charlie made an offended noise as Maya laughed at her own joke.
