The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Charlie stared at Hana blankly. It took him several seconds to realize she was talking to him and several more seconds to realize what she had asked. Recognizing her as the rightful owner of the katana, he handed it over.
“Thneed.” He mumbled solemnly, as if they were in a secret thneed-society.
Maya rubbed one of her eyes. She had the presence of mind to know that something was up. “Are you okay?” She questioned Hana.
Charlie reached out and tried to bop Maya’s nose.
Hana graciously retrieved her tyrannized katana and kept it close to her figure, slightly raising a brow at the term ‘Thneed’ Was it another word for weapon? She was too fatigued to exert the energy in asking and just focused on Maya’a question. “I may.. have drank way too much..” she confessed, hoping it would explain her ‘hangover’ state. She gave a glance down at the bleeding girl leaned up against her side, finding that she was hardly able to keep herself balanced with the additional weight of Nat “I can’t take care... of this one..” she looked at Maya pleadingly through her half-opened tired eyes. Please take her.

Maya nodded, understanding. I’ve trained for this. She thought. She hadn’t actually trained for anything, but that’s not the point.
Maya had fortunately not had much alcohol. She stood up and nudged Nat onto a nearby chair. She then walked up to Hana and crossed her arms.
“Sit.” She commanded, then grabbed Charlie and dragged him to the last chair at the table.
Charlie was starting to get a migraine. However, due to his years of experience with headaches, it barely fazed him. He went back to clumsily trying to poke Maya in the face.

Hana winced after giving a gentle shake of her head in refusal of Maya’s command. “I’m.. going to get some sleep..” she said in a hush tone, eyes drawing away from those at the table as she cradled her precious belongings. From the sleeping accommodations that were set up in the main room, she knew for a fact she wasn’t going to try climbing up the stairs in her state. Hana found the nearest mattress and simply crashed on the pallet, with the sound of her snores following close after.

Everything was a blur

Takes vision finally faded in, his senses slowly returning to him. He was no longer strung out hundreds of feet in the air. He was surrounded by a chilling cold of the mountains, but of course his body was unable to pick it up.

So he was here, standing in front of a mass of burning fur with wings stretched out on its sides.

What the hell... happened?

Oh hi Taco. I took care of the we-sa.

You were supposed to let me handle it.

Well.. the we-sa kept hitting you with dust so I had to take over for a bit.

Take fell to his knees, his emotionless gaze glued to the burning corpse, ignoring the wind that battered him and the flames.

It was just a kid. An innocent kid you heartless punk.

Oh Taco believe me, I sensed no child in that thing. Even if it was a child at one point, they were long gone after being turned into a we-sa.

Take squeezed his eyes shut and gritted his teeth, lowering his head mournfully.

I’m sorry kiddo.

What are you being sorry for? You’re not taking all the credit here are you? That’s real greedy Taco, I did this all myself.

Screw you.

Finally rising up to get moving, Take felt a weight on his forehead and something looming behind him on his tailbone.

That’s when his tail waved up behind him, and his hands flew up to the sides of his forehead— feeling short, gnarled pointed growths that were very much horns. His eyes quickly darted around in confusion, unable to find the right words as he sputtered “What, How, Why—”without actually forming any cohesive sentences.

You like them? Pretty cool huh!

“Get these things the hell off of me. Now.”

I can’t just make them go away, I guess they’re just repercussions of having me here with you. Besides— you’ll get used to them, they’re not all that bad. Plus they make you actually somewhat decent looking. You were really ugly before... like really ugly.

Then go back, this won’t work out. I don’t need you here.

Take started tightening his grasp around the horns, contemplating whether to tear them off. As for the tail, he didn’t know yet.

Did you hit your head or something? Didja forget we’re out here by ourselves in the middle of nowhere? A we-sa can easily pop out again and hand you over to Olim on a silver platter! I won’t and can’t let you shut me away Take. I will do as I please to prevent this until we return to your piteous group.

For once the demon wasn’t acting in a childish manner, in fact; he was dead serious, completely threatened by Olim’s abilities. The demon wasn’t going to allow Take’s insecurities about his new appearance to get in the way and ignore what was at stake.

Besides, they’ll just grow back if you take em’ off.

Eff this man, just shut up in there. I’m tired of hearing your damn voice up in my head.

The demon let out a boisterous cackle, This should be fun, shouldn’t it? I can finally feel what you feel, read your thoughts, smell what you smell, basically everything.

Piss off.

Take released his hands from around his horns and let them settle at his sides, visibly annoyed with his situation by the grumpy face he put on. He took the time to observe his surroundings, identifying he was definitely at the highest reaches of the mountains, and it was a little hard to breathe from the thin air.

Crap, which way is back to the settlement...?

You see that river down there? It should lead us back, or at least where there is some sort of civilization.

I don’t got much of a choice do I?

Not really, unless you want to endlessly wander the mountains forever.

Take closed his eyes and took a deep breath, mentally and physically preparing himself for the long and tiring trek that would take all night.

Kipp carried Torrin into the room all the other kids had piled into, setting him down to sleep on a spare mattress. The other boys, and Emma had taken the hint and settled rather quickly on to beds as well. He'd been expecting hyper bouncing kids, but they were all apparently just as exhausted as he was. The only ones missing, that he would consider to be kids were Fred and Chion.

He looked back at the bar of light that shone through the open doorway, unenthused with the thought of having to go back down and convince Fred that he was still a child and it was his bed time.

He sighed dismissing the idea as he made his way over to the pile of blankets, he wasn't going to do that. Fred should know when he was tired and put himself to bed. Kipp took a blanket to each kid, tucking them all in.

(The kids don't have to be asleep yet or they can be, I have no problem having them interact with Kipp. They could just be pretending to be good kids and hop up and bash him with a pillow. XD)

(Apparently people don't want this to die as badly as I do.)
Cam sat up on her mattress, her vision hazy as she took in her surroundings. It had felt so good to sleep on a bed, even if all it was was a mattress on the floor. And to get a proper meal before going to sleep? It felt like she was lying in the lap of luxury. The dawn light was just beginning to touch the room, putting it's assorted junk on display along with delicate cobweb filigrees decorating the corners. All of the junk that had been in the room was hastily pushed to one side to make room for the mattresses.
What time is it?
