The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Lilith shrugged, watching as he grabbed one of the chicks, before also reaching into the portal and grabbing its sibling which he had previously plopped down next to it. "Just me and Tru in my apartment, try'na work up as much money as a photographer to move out to the countryside." She said, tightly gripping Tru's leash in her metallic hand and gently holding the little golden chick in the flesh one.
"Since the portals are shifting, seems like there's no way we can just step back to our respective homes..." She sighed, staring at the rips in space. "Great, bunch'a strangers stuck in a dark forest. This'll end well."

I'm.... pretty? Kipp eyed Cam with a sideways glance, not sure how to respond to that. He looked down at the blaze orange bird shoes encasing his toes. She probably just didn't know what to say either. But so much for taking my sweater off, I'll just have to suffer.
"Who's Noah?" He asked trying to change the subject.

A bloody golden retriever dashed out of the trees it's bright blue eyes staring up at them in a panic. Haddie? Two large dogs bounded through the trees behind her, and suddenly there was a mound of growling and snapping fur and teeth in front of them.
"HEY!" He shouted, grabbing the pit bull by the wrinkled loose skin of its neck and punching it in the face. The dog turned, snarling and snapping it's teeth at him. "Leave her alone!" The dog twisted grabbing Kipps forearm in it's teeth and biting down. He clenched his teeth in pain, "NO. BAD DOG! DROP IT!" He growled as forcefully as he could muster, hitting it over the head a couple more times. He wasn't even sure if these were real dogs or people, but it was worth a shot.

At Blair's arrival the pit bull let go, to cower next to it's companion.

"Why would I be-" She was cut off by Aella.

"Aliens?" She paused to look back up at Kylan skeptically. "You're all insane!" She she stepped away from them wide eyed, bumping into Kevin, who was pulling chicks out of a portal. She stared up at him overwhelmed by the absurdity of the situation. THIS is insane. All of this. This isn't real. This can't be real!
"Out of my way!" She yelled slamming her hand into his ribs as she stormed past.

“Oh, that sounds nice,” Kevin said, pulling the last remaining chickens from the portal. He shifted them around in his arms, putting as many babies as he could in his shirt pockets, freeing up a hand to take the chick from Lilith. “Thank you,” he said, giving her a small smile. It turned into a frown when she said the last part. “Not to mention lots of animals. Let’s hope they get along.”
He looked behind him, just in time to see Juliana ram her hand into his side. He straightened up frowning, grabbing her wrist to keep her from entering. “Before you go through, be careful, it might not be hooked up to your home. Someone said it could be hooked up to Africa.” Kevin said, letting go of her.

Instead of crying out in pain, Aella merely grimaced for a moment, bending and rubbing her shin. She straightened, and just laughed at the girls growl.
She stepped forward until she could loom over the smaller girl. "No one's going to notice, kid. Aliens. Wipe people's memories. Or..." she pressed a finger to her lips thoughtfully. "Alternate timeline?" She glanced at Kylan, then back at Juliana. "Who knows. Anyway, police didn't find me here, they aren't gonna find you either."

Kylan glowered at Juliana, biting his lip. "You're the one who started screaming!" He snapped at her, watching as she suddenly fled from them towards the burly man and a scrawny girl with... A dog and chickens?
He looked back at Aella, relaxing slightly. "I really don't like that girl." He murmured, shooting Juliana a last withering glance.

Lilith shrugged, watching as he took the chick from her. You really wouldn't think it was nice if you saw the dump. "You're welcome, and yeah, I've seen several dogs and your chickens. Needless to mention--" She glanced around, eyeing the surrounding strangers. "--Most of the people here look like their barely more than kids." Like I'm not hardly one too, though.
She opened her mouth to give another light hearted joke as she turned back to Kevin, however a girl with purple hair stormed by them, snapping at them to get out of 'her' way as she jabbed her hand into Kevin's ribs. "Watch it." Lilith growled edgily, sensing her violent and distraught emotions, but still listening as Kevin tried to handle it peaceably.

Haddie was curled up in a ball when the two dogs left her. She raised her head cautiously and looked out at all of the people-some familiar faces, some new ones. She carefully stopd up, limped to a tree, collapsed, and shifted back into a human. "Thanks for the help." She said, wincing ad she touched her ribs and her hand came away with blood. She looked around. "Anyone know what's going on?"
"No problem." Blair nodded, her suspicion confirmed when the retriever turned into a frizzy redhead. "Not really. Kyle doesn't either, so we're kind of clueless." She shrugged, coming over to the girl and crouching beside her. "Where did they bite you?"

Haddie pointed to her leg, then motioned around her ribs. "One got me in the calf, and the both banged me up pretty.good around the ribs-mostly just scratches." She winced as the frayed remains of her shirt touched her slightly bloody ribs. "The calf wounds the worst, but I don't think they damaged the muscle too bad." She kept talking to try and keep her mind off of the pain. She grabbed some alcohol wipes from her pocket as she talked. "So who are the new guys?"

Juliana bristled at his touch, she would have gone off on him, but the cool threatening voice of the girl next to him held her back. She stared up defiantly at her, unable to keep her self from responding with:
"Or what?"

Aella sneered in Juliana's direction, her hand twitching with the urge to threaten her with a ball of flame. She lifted a hand, a roaring fire encircling her fingers and palm, lighting her garnet eyes as the flames lapped at the air.
But her hand closed, the flames dying out. "She acting as if it's our fault for bringing her here."

"Not really sure," Blair answered, pushing her blue-brown curls out of her face. "They kind of just keep appearing." She glanced behind her at the others, raising a brow at them. "And not introducing themselves."

Ciro hurried through the darkening streets of Mexico City, toting a steaming grocery bag with pride. His shirt was torn, he was missing a right shoe, his right hand was bleeding from embedded glass shards, and he hadn't slept in three days straight, but his heart was soaring.
Señor Ruiz at the market has just given him an unexpected bonus- a full turkey dinner, complete with sides and desserts.
Oh, he was beyond excited to come home with this feast. Mama, Gabriela, and Alicia hadn't had a magnificent meal like this since last year.
And he was going straight home. No diversions. Nope.
His eyes caught a bedraggled shape emerging from a passing alley. Ciro paused mid-skip to wave heartily. Of course, if there were any leftovers, he'd have to pay a visit to Señor Velez- where'd Ciro seen him last? Perhaps at the far end of Canal del Norte. There was a comfortable bench there that the elderly señor preferred for his bed. Or maybe he should go first to Señora Abalos, or even the Esteban twins, but those boys could get their own grub if they really wanted to---
Suddenly, the air seemed to spasm before him. He should've stopped then.
But then there was a shimmering hole that his blithe run carried him straight through.
He flailed desperately and reached for something, anything to hold him here.
But it was too late. His grappling hand found purchase, but it was around a vegetative frond that broke away in his grasp. Now it wasn't dark and there wasn't a manmade structure in sight.
Eyes wide, he spun a full circle. The only familiar element was, ironically enough, the air crackling behind him as the tear began to reseal itself. He reached for the closing gap to his world, but his trembling hand faltered mid-air. Various young people around this forest seemed to be going through similar throes as they were each removed from their own realities. "¿Que solo happened?" he blurted loudly, his breath coming hard and ragged with panic. "¿Dónde estoy? Who are you?"

Okay, so that's her power. Kylan nodded, not able to help stop several sparks of electricity to hiss and pop from his finger tips. "We're all as lost and confused as her. If we're going to figure out what to do, she's going to need to calm down." He murmured, glancing around once again to see if he could spot Torin in the growing crowd.
Juliana bristled at his touch, she would have gone off on him, but the cool threatening voice of the girl next to him held her back. She stared up defiantly at her, unable to keep her self from responding with:
"Or what?"
Lilith's hands curled into fists, quickly switching Tru's leash to her flesh hand so that if they got into a full on fight, she could use her metal hand to pack a nasty punch if need be. "Here's a little info, you're not the only person in existence, so if I were you, I'd not shove and act like that towards people. People who you're currently trapped with, might I add." She said silkily, both trying to defuse and threaten the girl at the same time.
