The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Take gave a hearty laugh, “Oohh yeah we are...” he agreed, turning his head to notice how almost all of them started showcasing their abilities or powers. At the mention of ‘demon’ and seeing fire being emitted, he tore his eyes away.

Take took a hand out of his pocket, raising it with a wave, “Yo Kipp how’s it going?” he smiled lightly.
Kipp grinned widely, and shrugged. "Good considering the circumstances. The new guys all seem pretty on edge."

Kevin glanced at Lilith, forcing a smile. “It’s okay. I have this.” He said, but he didn’t look too confident.
He saw Kylan back away, realizing how close he was to Aella. Hm, probably smart. He followed Kylan’s lead and took a few steps back, pushing Juliana behind him.
Lilith cocked an eyebrow, glancing at him. "You sure?" She said quietly with a light-hearted tone laced in with it. She quickly followed Kevin's and Kylan's lead of shuffling back slowly, Tru and the chickens staying behind her.

Juliana let out a breath she'd been holding, watching her opponents movement, she was going to have to fight this fire person or run. She didn't know this place, running was a good way to get lost forever.
"Back off." She growled, pulling a can of yellow spray paint from her belt. "Or everything will be on fire." She didn't know how else to threaten this girl, obviously she didn't mind being on fire, but maybe a few more would try to stop her if they were in danger. Or... She reailed, they'd just tackle me, stupid. I'm so stupid.

Lilith clenched her fists, shooting Juliana a look that said 'thanks a lot, look what you did.'
She shook her head, turning to Aella. "Lay off him. We didn't say you were crazy, she did, and if you could help us out and wait before you roast us, then you could prove that you're not." She said silkily, her hand resting gently on her dagger as the skin receded off her metallic arm.

Kylan shifted from foot to foot nervously. Before hand, the fire lady hadn't seemed so threatening and actually acted nice, then the purple haired lady just had to freak out. And, honestly, the Kevin dude seemed nice too, plus Lilith had been his and May's friend years ago.
He watched as Lilith's skin turned to metal, and his eyebrows shot up suddenly. That's... New. He shook his head, deciding to actually do something. The faster this stops, the faster I find Torin. He slid up beside Aella, giving a small smile. "Hey, c'mon. The freaky lady stood down, these two didn't do anything." He said, noticing that him, Lilith, and Kevin were now surrounding her. That's... Probably not good to be crowding her. He stepped back slowly.

Ciro gently placed his precious bag down and worked on mustering enough resolve to wade into the heart of the confrontation. He was so near tears that it was nearly impossible to steel himself enough to even think about playing his charm. Or maybe that'd work in his favor for sincerity points.
"Hey, señoritas," he broke in slowly from the sidelines, placing careful, calming enunciation on each of his words. The slower he went, the more he kept to one language. "I'm not too sure what just went down, nor do I know you, but what I do know is that I don't want any of you hurt." He looked from the smoking ginger to the snarky purple, making sure to keep his expression nothing short of completely earnest. "We're obviously not where nosotros belong. And I'm going to be bold enough to surmise that fighting each other is only going to make this tanto worse." Then he let a smile take over his face- one that was real enough to actually be pacifying in itself. "So, truce? For all of us?"

Kevin glanced around. The only person who wasn’t cooperating was the scary fire lady. By the looks of it, getting her to calm down would be difficult. “No,” he said firmly. “No one is hurting anyone. She’s sorry. She was frustrated, and didn’t mean what she said. No one here thinks you’re crazy.” Kevin said. He slowly sat the chickens down, using his foot to gently nudge them towards Lilith. He held his hands out in a non-threatening manor. He was very aware of the shotgun strapped to his back, and he hoped he wouldn’t need to use it.

Aella's eyes narrowed even more, taking another step closer. But it wasn't worth it. These people had powers, too, and this wasn't New York City. She didn't know it like the back of her hand, so she couldn't just toss flames and run.
She stepped back, flames vanishing. "You're lucky, little brat. Stay away from me."

Aella narrowed her eyes, glancing warily at everybody around her. "Right," she muttered, backing up.

Kipp grinned widely, and shrugged. "Good considering the circumstances. The new guys all seem pretty on edge."
Take rolled his eyes at the mention of the new people, “Yep, all threatening each other..”
He punched Kipp on the shoulder in a friendly manner, “So how are your classes going huh?” he asked, bringing up his fists up to his own face, impersonating a boxer and jumping around a bit.
Colby skipped up to his friends and beamed ecstatically. "How are you guys?" An indignant flurry of motion by their feet attracted his roving gaze. "Oh, Mr. Beck, too! Awesome!"
He whirled around to grab Nat's hands and shoved her forward with surprising strength. "Oh, and this is Nat."
Nat raised a hand with as much nonchalance as she could muster with a burning woman in the vicinity. "Yo."
Take’s third eye focused on Colby and Nat, “Aye” he greeted the two, his two other eyes still focused on Kipp.

“Uh, yeah, I think so.” Kevin replied.
Kevin watched as Ciro joined, noticing the tears in his eyes and expecting the kid to start crying. But instead, he remained calm and actually seemed good at de-escalating the situation.
Impressive. Kevin thought. He liked that kid already.
He didn’t move out from between Aella and Juliana, but he lowered his hands. He didn’t trust the so-called peace, and he felt like the tension between everyone could be cut with scissors.
“So... are we good?” He asked cautiously, looking around. “No ones going to hurt each other?”

"Fine, how about you?" Blair gave a small smile, looking between Colby and Nat. She had found the fox boy so annoying when the had first met, but her opinions had quickly changed when she realized he was just nervous, and not really annoying.
"Hello, Nat. I'm Blair." She stood up, glancing behind them as the fiery woman calmed down. "Sorry for all of," she beckoned behind Nat. "That."

Lilith relaxed, letting her prosthetic hand fall away from her dagger. "Thank you." She murmured, glancing between the other powered people as she reached down to pet Tru.

Kylan smiled. "See? We're good now, no fight means no one gets hurt." He said to Aella, before glancing at Lilith and Kevin. He was already deducing that he liked Ciro for being so quick to try and break up the fight even though it was apparent that he was pretty freaked out, and Kevin just seemed like a good person.

"I'm great," Colby replied immediately, tail waving. "Okay, I just had a baby sister born, so maybe a little sleep-deprived, but otherwise, still great."
Nat nodded to both the pink-haired dude -whose three eyes she really wanted to compliment but would probably seem rude if she did- and Blair in turn. "Stoked to meet you both. And, nah, don't apologize." She ran her fingers along her braided part and gave a guilty laugh. "This is probably what I signed up for when I leapt us through that portal."

Colby skipped up to his friends and beamed ecstatically. "How are you guys?" An indignant flurry of motion by their feet attracted his roving gaze. "Oh, Mr. Beck, too! Awesome!"

Kyle peered up at the face of the person who Colby was dragging along behind him, despite their extreme height contrast. The girl had catty eyes that looked remarkably like bruises and apricot colored lips that clashed horribly with the black eyes. And the eye makeup itself made her green eyes very prominent. Why in the world would you want all three secondary colors on your face at once? But none of this was as bad as the cheaply dyed whitey hair with orangey brown roots poking through.
Kyle tried not to judge, and instead of straining his neck, stared at her kneecap. It was hard not to notice that while Colby had on a cozy sweatshirt, this girl decided to show all the world her suntanned legs.
“Nat!” Kyle exclaimed. That’s Colby’s friend. Kyle hadn’t expected the fox’s friend to be of the female species. He tended to exclaim everything due to his vocal cord deficiencies. “Nice to meet you! I’m Kyle Beck.” And I’ll try to actually remember your name for once.
Rylie blinked down at the girl from his tree branch with his golden eyes, and Kyle realized why his introduction seemed incomplete. Usually, he had his trusty sidekick with him.
“Rylie! Come here!” He lifted a treat out of his one of his enormous pockets. Rylie leapt from the branch, though still eyeing the dogs-who had certainly not ceased to exist- warily.
Rylie snaked along Nat’s leg after one sniff, curling his tail around her ankle before coming to Rylie’s side and gulping down the cat treat.
“That’s Rylie,” Kyle explained. “That means he likes you.” It was not common for Rylie flaunt his trust so openly. In fact, the last time he had rubbed someone’s leg at their first meeting was five months ago, with Annie.
So there was more than met the eye. Rylie tended to display good judgement around new people.
Kyle knew at that moment that there had to be a heart of gold beneath the horrible taste in makeup.
