The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Korim cast a beseeching glance at his dark little sisters. They were the only other Linguists in the family, and they looked much more the part than he, with shy, fluttery lashes, short, slender limbs, and apricot colored lips that pressed together mysteriously. Please. Translate. Must find Grammar. his eyes said.
Linguisim was a gift from birth, marked by the infant very quickly picking up speech.

Korim opened his mouth to translate Lilith's words, but his mother spoke first. He pressed his bluish lips together and cast his eyes to the floor. "She wants you to put the dog out," he told Lilith.
"Actually, what she was going to say was she somehow ended up in the Laefeslay Forest. She and her group barely made it out alive. They seek shelter, food, and healing. I spotted them at the forest edge when I just finished my chores." He scratched his neck, avoiding her gaze. A drop of sweat trickled over his finger. "An' I put the worst injured ones in the barn loft, telling them Grammar could heal them." (Grammar her mother in law, consequently, not Grammar the ha'dwarf. Grammar knew her healing abilities and was well known in the village. She had strengthened them quite a lot, very experienced lady) "An' I was hoping you could spare them some angry bacon."

Mam twitched at the mention of the Laefeslay, her face contorting into shocked disbelief as she looked the new kids up and down. They didn't look that strong, how could they have possibly survived?

"Of course. There's always room for more." She responded her voice distant as she considered the dangers these young ones had faced. The bloodied clothes told her that they hadn't gone completely unscathed, but she was hardly able to believe they had walked out of the forest on their own. "They must have a healer." She muttered shaking her head and returning to the stove to tend to the crackling bacon.

“Ok” Aria agreed
Kylan nodded sweetly, prancing away and quickly reaching the house. He evaluated it quickly, flashing a beaming smile at the occupants before noticing Lilith becoming more and more anxious, coming up beside her.
Mam, who had plenty a grey hair from all the times she'd had to chase critters out of her house, raised a sharp eyebrow at the furry panting creature. Impatiently she listened to the extremely tall girl tapping her foot as she spouted off her gibberish.
"Korim, she's saying her pet is going outside. Right now isn't she." She shot a harsh glare at her son for allowing the thing into her house at all. He knew better.

Lilith felt the color drain from her face as she was subjugated to the woman's harsh eyes. Her tapping foot made her heart rate quicken with anxiety, and she bit her lip until a drop of crimson spiked up as she sensed the woman's growing annoyance.
When Korim told her to put the dog 'out', her tired brain translated that as literally putting Tru out and into death-- Before it quickly dawned on her that, in fact, she wanted her to take him outside. She glanced down at him, nervousness causing her to unwittingly call the skin off her arm. "Ah, um... Yeah. Right." She muttered, feeling her stomach twist a bit more as she looked up with a blank expression at the lady. Over the two years since she'd found him half dead at the side of the road, she'd grown to take him everywhere, and he'd served as something of a personal therapy dog.
She noticed Kylan step up, offering out his hand. "I'll take him out to Aria and Kevin."
She nodded, handing his leash to him. She felt better knowing he'd be in her friend's care, and not to be attacked by some wild animal. She watched as her best-friend walked off, before turning her green gaze upon the woman who stood only up to just above the tall girl's waist. "He's gone. Can you help us? Your son seems to think so." She said smoothly, sticking her hands into her hoodie pocket as a nervous instinct. She looks like a little kamikaze that wants to kill me.
When Mam turned away with her short couple of words, she sensed the gist of it. "Thank you, Miss." She said with a more comfortable tone, even though she still didn't trust the woman, she probably never would fully.
“Ok” Aria agreed
Just as he had left, he returned with Tru, the dog panting happily. "'Ey, I think the dude's Mom agreed to help, since Lilith didn't seen about murder her." He said with a comforting smile, stopping by her. "But she said she wanted Tru out of the house, could you watch him, or find someone to while I go get you some food?"

Pell curled her lip at her older brother turning back to the table and shoved a bun in her mouth ignoring him.

Terci grabbed 3 strips of soggy bacon and shoved them in her mouth before jumping up from the table and bolting past the new comers out the door bare foot to go looking for her Grammar.

Blair froze. The woman had shaken her head. Did that mean they were denied even shelter? She glanced around the ragged group, biting her lip. Some of the group wouldn't make it much further, if anywhere at all. "Is she kicking us out?" She turned her gaze to Korim. She understood if the woman did. How dangerous did one have to be to survive such a forest? Just luck. Just luck...

Pell sighed loudly around her mouthful of food spitting some as she did so.
"Just sit down already." She complained rolling her eyes and roughly throwing her head onto her hand supported by her elbow on the table top. "It's not like we eat people." She glanced around at her brothers with a mischievous glint sparking in her eye. "Much." She added. Though she didn't get the chuckling from her brothers she'd hoped for since they didn't understand her.

Clary glanced at Charlie. “Uh... what,” she said, staring blankly at him. “You... you do know that Larry is just as long as Clary, right? Or did you hit your head?” She shook her head. “Most people who want to abbreviate my name call me either Claire, or Smith. Well, only one person calls me Smith...”

“Thank you, ser.” Kevin said, following Korim into the barn. His jaw dropped when he saw all the colorful rainbow dragons. He wanted to touch one, but he liked his hands.
Kevin cradled his chickens closer to his chest, attempting to hide them from the dragon’s sight. He couldn’t stop their screaming, though. The chickens were terrified of the large feathery creatures.
He hesitated. Kevin wasn’t sure if he should follow Korim to get food, or if he should stay in the barn. He wasn’t injured, but the thought of sleep seemed really nice.
"My head?" Charlie put his hand to his head as if he had forgotten it was there. "It's fine. I'm just.. so tired." He groaned, rubbing his face with a hand. He smirked tiredly at her. "Ok, Smith."
As the rest of the group split up, he didn't know where to go until Maya walked up to him and shoved his shoulder towards the barn. "Sleep. There. Food at the house." She explained shortly, before walking after Korim.

"I–I thought?" Blair shook her head, narrowing her eyes at the girl. For a brief moment, her gaze flickered golden, giving the girl a glimpse of the caged, untamed creature Blair held inside. Clearly, the wolf didn't understand sarcasm. "Thank you..." She murmured, moving to the side to let the others through. If there was room, she'd sit, but she didn't mind. There were others who were far more tired then she was.

"Mam, could I take some of this food out to the injured kids?" He didn't even ask, grabbing a tray of food from that his younger brother was reaching for and popping a piece of bacon in his mouth.
"You guys can probably sit at the table." The long table could never be exhausted of chairs. The family tended to have extra space in case cousins -of which he had many- and whatnot came to call.

That had not been what Korim had been trying to portray via eye contact, but that language had always been iffy. Oh well.
He slunk out the door, carrying a tray of buns, hotcakes, and angry bacon. (Also known as ragaporc in his native language.)

An elderly lady with creased greyish brown skin and blue-grey hair stood in the clearing. She carried a twisted cane of wood. She normally would have gone about with a great blue hooded cape, but that was unsensible in the summer's heat. So instead she wore a faded shapeless frock. "Pell, dear? Or are you Terci? I can never tell the two of you apart, you know," the lady murmured. Her voice creaked like a dead branch on a tree. Her once-clear blue eyes stared like marbles. She had cataracts, unfortunately, something her abilities could not fix.
Grammar had been off healing people that morning. She often did that, even with her fear of the we-sa.

Alone once more, Aella stared at the rickety old later for many moments, before sighing. She placed a foot on the first rung, then a hand on the side, and carefully hauled herself up it. She winced each time she was required to place pressure on her wounded ankle, and when she reached the top, she quickly found refuge against the wall. She pulled her boots off, placing them beside her, and inspecting her wound.
It didn't appear painful, but it was most likely before she was so exhausted that everything felt like it hurt more then it actually did. She curled against the wall, her eyes fluttering shut, sleep claiming her lightly.
