The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“NO! Don’t waste your money, you need Buck”
"Alright, I won't." He promised, surprised at her sudden ferocity. "Maybe I can convince my family to take a vacation near where you live in Virginia?" He said, but not really believing he could convince them. "Or you could come visit the zoo where I work. It's the biggest zoo in South Dakota."

“Okay” Ellie agreed “I will try”

“Maybe birds don’t exist here” Ellie suggested
(THIS
this actually seriously bothered me about the Avatar movie. The planet was so beautiful, but it lacked birds, which I feel are the world’s most beautiful feature, and therefore it could never be as lovely. So there are at least some birds. No birds bothers me.)
Take gave Noah a nod, “Yeah.. it was really good too.. better than this sludge.” He drank the remainder of his soup, some of it dripping off his chin and wiping it away with his hoodie. He sighed at Emma’s comment, “Yet she isn’t here to help us out” he said lowly, “We’ll get out of here, and we’ll be able to see Blair again, alright? I got a plan.” Take glanced over at Kipp who stormed off moodily, with Fred quickly tagging after him. I guess I was right about that too.. because I tried doing it on my own to see how far I would get.
Noah’s brows drew together in ferocity, mad that that punk had gotten food when he didn’t.

As things tend to, Korim consequently returned, with the remaining packs. His face was downcast, as he knew he seriously wanted his own death, seriously wanted to venture into the unknown with these kids. They were the thing that he had always hoped would come to him, an escape.
Now he wasn’t sure if he could take it.
“Your bags are ready. I believe that it is time to go.” he said, speaken evenly and formally like he did when he first encountered the strangers’ language.
Kyle stood on his chair and nodded, then nodded at Korim’s family. “Thank you. Tell your family thank you, for all the help they’ve given us, they’ve perhaps truly saved our lives. I’m afraid there is no way we could repay you all for your kindness,” Kyle said diplomatically.
Korim translated.

(Alright, I'll just say he hasn't seen them yet, but they are there.)
“Exactly” Ellie exclaimed
He smiled, glad she agreed. "C'mon, we'd better start heading back now before the we-sa starts following us or the group leaves without us." At the mention of the we-sa, Carson unconsciously thumbed his dagger, making sure it was there

Aella had changed back into her old clothing quickly, and redid her hair like Mallie had taught her, and was leaning against the wall, watching everyone. She didn't want to leave, and the frusteration was enough to cause snapping flames to spark along her knuckles and the back of her hands.
But they had taken enough already. She had taken enough already.
She looked over the Corim family, dipping her head slightly. "Thank you." And she just hoped it was sincere enough, for her gratitude for them was far beyond words. She looked over the group again. I wonder if they realize that. How much we owe them. They could have very easily turned us away, and yet they didn't.

Take gave him an apathetic shrug. No one ever mentioned Noah’s name before, so it seemed that he was truly all alone here.

“What exactly did you guys try..? Start running hoping you’d find the exit or something without knowing how big this place really is?” Take questioned, furrowing his brows, “Since I’ve got here I’ve been trying to scout out every hallway in this place, but I think I made it near the exit at one point...” a smirk appeared on his face, “Well before I got caught, but what matters is that I got close..”

He grinned widely at his name being called ‘cool’ complements were rare, but he gleefully accepted them. Take rubbed his chin and let out a long ‘uhhh’ as he thought, remembering the last thing about the groups whereabouts. “We were in a barn.. full of feathered dragons.. and it smelled really bad. A kid let us stay there and his family fed us.” The words of Blair telling him that she wouldn’t be there waiting for him when he got back resurfaced. “And I’m pretty sure they’re not there anymore... I don’t know where they were planning on going since we didn’t have a clue where you guys could be.” he answered truthfully, noticing Torin’s accent when the boy spoke quickly. “Yeah same here.. I went out into the forest to find the We-Sa, the thing that took you guys since we were just laying about the barn not doing anything.”
"Dragons?" Torin gasped, eyes bright. "There's dragons here? But those aren't real." He murmured, glancing at the others before focusing back on Take. They weren't looking...? No, Kylan wouldn't just leave me here.... Right? "Huh, they're called we-sas? That's weird."
“That’s sweet” Aria smiled her eyes softly hovering on Kylan’s face.

Eve shook her head.

Lilith frowned a bit, scratching Tru's head. "Well, then..." At that moment Korim walked in, telling them it was time to go, and she sighed. "Thank you, all of you for helping us." Her words were mixed in with the few Portsmoth ones she'd learnt, her eyes focusing on each of the Corim family in turn. She'd came to enjoy being around Pell and learning from her, so she gave her a small smile as she glanced over her.
She soon turned back to Korim, remembering what she had been about to do right before he had burst in. "Korim, I do need one thing. This girl here--" She jerked her head towards Eve. "--can't speak. You said earlier that there was a way we could get her a pencil and pad to communicate with, is that still a possibility?"

Kylan's lips twitched with a smile, eyes soft. He glanced at Korim, grateful that he had finished his food before the boy came in, but his face lifted a little at the idea of leaving. We're finally gonna be looking for them.
He still couldn't shake the feeling of hopelessness, but it drew his spirits up a bit. He glanced at Aria, giving a small smile. "Guess we're going now." He chuckled, raising from his seat.

“I saw em’ flying all over the barn, they’re really real kid.” Take said firmly, “Their feathers were rad, all kinds of different colors, like ones in a fire.” he described, trying to spark Torin’s imagination.

“Ohhhh... Yeah, I went to get it, and then Mam asked me to do something and I completely forgot...” Korim said, grabbing the paper and charcoal from where he had left it on the counter, casually handing it to the dark-haired girl.
Kyle climbed down to one of those brace things near the bottom of the chair, then jumped to the floor neatly, smoothing his clothes. “We can’t delay this any longer,” he said remorsefully. “We should be going. Thank you again, for everything!” He walked to the door, waiting. Cam reached for her bag and fumbled with the straps nervously, not sure whether they were going to draw things out much longer.

“Dragons? Really?” Noah asked excitedly. “With feathers? Dragons usually have scales.” He was incredulous. “You’re making this up.”
