The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Blair spun, diving after the keys and scrambling to pick them up as quick as possible. Upon sight of it, her heart dropped. Many keys, many shapes, and little time to catch the demon before he escaped. She was so close to getting Take back, teetering on the edge but if she wasn't quick enough...
She slid her arms through the bars, tracing the outline of the keyhole and shoving key after key inside as quick as she could. Come on...damn you...
Nothing was happening, until a click reached her ears, and the key turned, the door creaking open. She barely stopped herself from yelling in triumph, staring at the door. Realizing she was wasting more time then nessicary, she crept out of the cell, glancing around. No one in sight. Yet.
She picked up the demons scent- Take's scent -quickly, racing after the direction it led. Moments later, her target came into sight and she pounced, slamming him to the ground. "You aren't going anywhere."
Take was running with high momentum, Almost there.. He looked over his shoulder when he picked up fast footsteps coming up behind him which resulted in Blair tackling him to the floor, his face eating it. He groaned into the gravel, the small pebbles sticking to his face when he lifted his head. His horns had grown shorter, nearly appearing as nubs now. It was like Blair slammed the demon out of control. Take had been fighting to regain himself single-handedly, the demons hold lessening over time till now. He still felt tired and drained before he passed out earlier, but he managed to lift himself up slightly with Blair still on top of him.

Kevin continued to walk, only stopping to glance behind him. It seemed like everyone was stopping for a food and water break. Why they couldn’t walk and eat, he had no idea. I guess not everyone was raised on the move like I was. He thought. He glanced down, deciding his birds were probably hungry. He pulled a piece of fruit from his bag, tearing off a chunk of it and dropping it in his chicken carrier, where Mama pulled it into smaller pieces and fed it to her chicks.
Putting the remaining fruit in his bag, he glanced behind him. His companions constant stopping was starting to get a little tedious. It seemed like there was always at least one person that was tired, or needed a break. He now understood why Blair decided to leave.
Kevin shook his head. “We need to keep walking. You can walk and eat, no?” He said, continuing down the path. He was worried about Aria, but if she got too tired someone could carry her.
Kevin glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. “Great,” he said. He was happy he wasn’t the one to wander off alone again. And he was glad the person accompanying him was Lilith.
He looked around the trees as they walked. The plants and animals here seemed very different from the ones at the paper cutter forest. Whether that was a good or bad thing, he hadn’t decided yet.
Please don’t have any manticores, Kevin thought, grimacing at the memory of not being able to stop the poison. Next time they wouldn’t run into a healer skilled enough to heal them, and whoever was poisoned would probably die.
(To clarify, and I obviously must draw a map, this is still the Papercutter Forest. Where Kipp is it isn’t)
(Also yes I can walk and eat, but have you ever tried walking and eating broccoli? I took a bite and chewed and suddenly I was gasping for breath cuz broccoli is starchy or something.)
“Can we please stop?” Cam asked. Stopping to eat was admittedly the only thing she looked forward to. A big muscly guy wouldn’t understand what it was like to be 5’2” and carrying all that weight on his back.
Fortunately, Korim favored Cam’s idea, even though he didn’t even look winded. He was made of the toughest sort of stuff. Maybe he was just hungry.
“We should stop to eat. We need the breaks, or we won’t have enough energy to cover all that ground. If we don’t stop now we’ll have to make lots of little stops for people who can’t keep up. Also we need to eat all the goods that Mallie packed for lunch. It’s perishable.” (korim says eat yo veggies)
Korim sat down and set down his meal. A sandwich, and a vegetable that looked like a peeled potato but tasted like a carrot. Also the fruit, but he had already eaten that.
(trust me from experience, when u have extra weight on your back, every pause is necessary.)

(Yup, my brain is officially fried.
So much for trying to make more detailed posts. XD )

(Hmm, well forests are known to travel about. :3 I thought they were 4 days travel East of the Laefslay. But they can totally be attached. My plan was that what ever critters were scavenging the dead things, lived in this forest. And that Kipp didn't end up following Chion's direction at all. So it works.)

(I honestly forgot about doing a post for Hana XD)

Hana went ahead and plopped herself on a fallen tree for a much needed break without waiting for the approval that they’d be stopping. The teleportation experience was unlike anything she’d been through, but it was similar to what it would feel like to be in a washing machine. Being tossed around and spinning almost gave her vertigo, but she was able to stabilize herself. She slipped off her pack and rested it in her lap to pull out the fruit she saw the others snacking on. She took a small bite out of it, and it was all that it took for her to savor the quite refreshing, juicy, and nectar-like flavor that most tropical plants had.

Blair was blinded by anger, claws forming and sinking into the skin of his shoulders, slamming him back down when he tried to get back up. It was a fury she couldn't explain nor could she fully take it out on the demon, in fear of hurting Take. Seconds before she was close to fully losing control over the wolf, she felt him rise slightly, her claws instantly retracting.
If it was the demon, she'd already be pinned beneath him. "Take." She instantly got off him, half-falling to her knees. She grabbed him, pulling him up into a sitting position carefully. Her gaze flickered over his face quickly, resisting the overwhelming urge to hug him and kiss him, but she had to make sure he wasn't hurt, first. "Sorry, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. Are you hurt?"

Take brushed the pieces of stuck gravel off his visibly scruffy and exhausted face. The stubbly facial hair definitely layering on the primitive look. “You didn’t know, it’s alright.” he assured, smiling weakly as he reached over his exposed back to touch where Blair inserted her claws. He pulled back his hand to gaze at the warm blood that rested on his fingertips. “It doesn’t hurt, but you got me good there.” he laughed, attempting to find humor in the situation. He wiped his fingertips on the front of his bedraggled sleeveless hoodie that already held dried blood in its black fabric.

Kyle didn’t have fruit or veggies with him, because Mallie hadn’t packed him a bag, and even one little cashew apple would have been a burden to carry. Instead, he removed a piece of bread he had scavenged from among the things she was packing from his pocket. He sat crosslegged besides Rylie and chewed on it.
Rylie looked expectantly at him. “Before you know it, we’re going to run out of this dried meat, you know,” Kyle sighed, giving Rylie a small piece. “I don’t have enough for you to make a proper meal. You should probably go hunting.”
Rylie looked nervously about. The prey around here seemed untrustworthy, but the rabbits and birds weren’t so bad. He stalked into the forest.
“Thank you for stopping,” Kyle told Korim. “Good call. Rylie needs to hunt.”
Unlike a horse, a predator animal had to hunt for food, which provided an obstacle as a beast of burden.

Torin tipped his head, giggling a little as the crimson light enveloped and twirled around his hand. He could tell from her soft words and easy demeanor that she didn't think it was dangerous, so he didn't worry about it as he fantasized what it might be. Maybe something like the Northern Lights?
He glanced back at her, before bringing up his other hand and pointing at himself. "Torin." He said, trying to indicate that was his name.

Lilith walked silently beside him, her footsteps falling lightly on the hard ground. Her eyes traveled up to the tree canopies, looking at how the sun's light sparkled down through the bright green leaves and onto the ground level.
She stayed that way for a moment or two, before looking back in-front of her and tracing her fingers over her camera absentmindedly. She could still sense the others quite close behind them, and didn't feel any we-sa nearby, so she currently wasn't very worried. "Wonder how the Blair lady is fairing. Probably got caught, I haven't sensed her since she left."
Seina nodded, thinking he meant it had come to him. Then turned her gaze out over the open field, worry lining her face. No doubt they would be sending out we-sa after them soon. And while the rocks they were hiding under now would hide them from the sky, the longer they waited the more likely it was that they would be found. Especially this close to the Dakrium. She noticed Torin still looking at her, and quickly put a smile back on her face. Resuming the flitting about of the small red bug creature she'd created.
