The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kylan was, well, he was happy.
Here and on earth. But God, was he ready to go back to earth, to be with his parents.
This place had been a blessing in disguise, he'd met such great people like Aria, like Kevin, like Ciro, re-met Lilith and watched her learn how to live, and learned so, so much.
He really looked the part now, too. He wore a blood red shirt that was thin and loose on his body, orange trousers, and black leather boots. In his hands was a scythe that he'd been awarded as a weapon that was useful as both a blade and was designed for electrokinetics like him, so he could funnel his lightning through it. His backpack still hung on his back, now muddied, but carried so many valuables that he was bringing back from the land. His arms and legs were covered in scars, and his muscles had toned quite well. I really look like some adventurer from a storybook, eh?
Torin sat on his shoulders, peering down at all the others with happiness. The boy had grown shockingly close to all of them, even go as far as to call some of them "aunt" or "uncle" and then their names. He, now too, wore blue trousers, small boots, and a blue shirt.
Now Kylan stood before the portal, having said his goodbyes and practiced what he'd say to his parents. He threw one last look over his shoulder, eyes sparkling with joy. "Adios, mi amigos!"
With that, he took a dramatic step into the portal, into his home.
Except it wasn't his home.
And he had to swerve as to not hit Lilith who hadn't moved from the doorway, plus squeeze by Kevin and Aria.
"Uhh... Y'all get in the wrong portal?" He laughed, before glancing around. Well, great. "Hi? Again? Why're we here?"

Lilith nodded, reaching in her pant's back pocket and pulling out a black smartphone, flipping it onto the dial pad, and handing it to him. "Here, here you go."

Kevin took the phone, giving her a small smile. “Thanks,” he said, dialing his brothers number.
“You’ve reached the voicemail of Felix Ivanov. I’m probably busy, so call again later.” The message was repeated in Russian, but Kevin hung up before he heard the entire thing. Great, He thought, checking the time. He’s probably sleeping. He handed the phone back to Lilith. “He won’t answer. Thanks anyway.” He said.
As the door was opened, the stench hit him. Smog, gas, and other strange smells clogged his nose, making him gag. “Oh... oh it stinks.” Kevin said, covering his nose with his sleeve.

“I don’t know if that’s such a brilliant idea” Aria whispered “can we get in and out the country?”
Kylan looked at her, brows furrowed. "What do you mean? For you, we could just say you accidentally teleported here. For Kevin... Eh, he got kidnapped. Just slap him a couple times so he looks the part. Same for Hana."
Kipp rubbed a finger under his nose, hiding his pursed lips. Of course he'd recognized the door. Three concrete walls and one metal one was pretty obvious. But with Take gone, and Blair not here yet, he was the only one who could really see clearly where the door was. He just wanted an excuse for them to not split up right away.

He raised an eyebrow at Kylan.

"Your battery's still alive after three months? Four? Four months? How long were we gone?" Kipp asked suddenly realizing he'd lost track.
Kylan glanced at him, making a long 'uhhh' sound. "I... Good point. Maybe it is? I never opened it... That's how it works, right?" He laughed nervously, wondering if he sounded like an idiot. "I think like... I don't know. I'm probably seventeen by now."

Lilith walked back, collecting her phone from him. "Sorry about that." She murmured, pocketing it.
She glanced between him and the outside, smirking. "I... Oh, I forgot you weren't used to... America... Smells. Welcome to our lives everyday."
She caught a bit of Kylan's conversation with Kipp, her smile fading. "It's been months, I'm probably nineteen now. And..." She pinched the bridge of her nose with a sad sigh. "Forget the getting my car idea, it's been months without any payment. They'd've reclaimed it by now." Well, so much for Henry. I kinda had that in the back of my mind, anyway. I just didn't want to think about it. Great.

“I suppose your right” Aria sighed, she glanced at the young boy. “Your Torin, right? I’m Aria, we haven’t properly met”

Kevin shrugged. “It’s okay. He probably wouldn’t have been in town anyway.” He said, but the disappointment in his voice was audible.
He laughed, shaking his head. “I’ll never get used to it. So far out of all the countries I’ve visited, America smells the most... extreme. Granted, I’ve only been in major cities.” He listened to them discussing birthdays. “Mine’s near the end of June, so I don’t think I missed it. We’ll have to celebrate your birthdays. What month is it now?” Kevin asked.
As he walked down the street, he couldn’t help but feel anxious. He was in a strange country, in strange clothes, with lots of weapons, chickens, and no money or any type of ID. If they ran into cops, it probably wouldn't end well for him.

Kipp stifled a laugh covering his face with a hand. (Apparently randomly walking down the street cause why not)
"Uhh, naw, it's gonna be dead. Hmm?" He blinked at Kylan over his hand moving it to instead comb through his hair. "Yeah, I'm seventeen now too. We've definitely been gone longer than a month." A more serious look crossing his face as he thought of his family.

“Hey! What are you doing outside? Going to a party... uh... cosplay?” A group of quarantine police noticed the fabulously dressed teens, along with some who looked like they had just stepped out of a Game of Thrones movie. As far as the baffled officer could tell, there weren’t any parties or cosplays going on anymore, but these rebellious young teens obviously planned to go to one.
“Don’t you know about the curfew? Are you trying to sOcIaLIze? Get back in your home!”
He falsely mistook the storage unit for a home (because in this alternate Earth people really do use them as homes.)

“W-what?” Aria looked shocked “my parents are probably freaking out. What are we going to do?”

”what do you mean curfew? Socialise? Aren’t these basic human rights?” Aria looked a little disgruntled having this officer bellow at them

“I suppose your right” Aria sighed, she glanced at the young boy. “Your Torin, right? I’m Aria, we haven’t properly met”
Kylan had to choke down a cackle at the fact that she hadn't disagreed to his idea of slapping their personal healer and samurai-chick.
Torin laughed, sticking out his hand so he could shake her hand all proper like his parents did with people. "Yep! I know, Kylan told me a lot about you." He giggled, smiling. "I like your name. It's cool. Ar-ee-aa. Nice."
Kevin shrugged. “It’s okay. He probably wouldn’t have been in town anyway.” He said, but the disappointment in his voice was audible.

She could feel his disappointment radiate off her, her powers tingling. She raised her hands as she strode beside him, lighting them up to a blue to guide her way. She smiled, knowing that a few months ago if she'd seen that light, she'd have seen just proof of her being a murderer.
"I live in Nashville, so I guess I'm pretty used to it. Not that I don't still hate it, though." Lilith said, shrugging. "Mine's April 28th, so I'm not sure. Maybe we will have to, I'm sure me and Kylan aren't the only ones." She said, committing his birth-month to memory. "Hold on."
She whipped her phone back out, flicking it on and checking the date. "It's... Man, it's April 19th already."
She glanced at him, feeling his anxiety. "I know this sounds stupid, but... Whatever it is, don't worry. I've never been to Missouri before, but there's probably plenty of Russians walking around with chickens... Yeah."

(Just so everyone knows Kyle also has a landline phone on the ground. Sorry)
“My cousin Tyler tells me Russia smells like communism,” Noah put in.

Those stupid "don't worry" words had just left her mouth when the cop showed up, and she stopped dead, un-lighting her hands and raising them to be seen. "Sorry sir, sorry sir... Wait, curfew?" Missouri sucks. "I don't understand, what's going on? We're just going to, ah, my niece's party! She loves clothes like these, so we thought we'd surprise her. We're not from around here, we didn't know about a curfew."
