The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Colby was more than a little put out by the hostile looks from Juliana, but he knew he really should've expected it. "Sounds you've reached the level of overtired that has no hope of return," he reasoned lightly to Aria. "Guess I should be, too, but I'm just...out of it." He dropped down on his belly and propped his chin up on his overturned palms, thinking about everything and nothing all at once.
And, then, since he seriously had nothing to lose, he tried to be the better person again. "How about you, Juliana?"
Aria laughed softly so she didn’t wake the people upstairs though she was sure they were already awake

Aella stared at the window for a long while, aware everyone else in the room was fast asleep. But she couldn't sleep. She just kept thinking and thinking, her mind whirling with thoughts of Borealis. The thought of leaving the group, of going back to New York, of seeing Grayson again.
Grayson couldn't even be considered her friend. He allowed her to sleep on his couch occasionally, but he didn't treat her like a friend. He was the reason she had such a hideous scar on her face, and part of the reason she hardly trusted people. But some of the group were friends.
Blair and Hana and even the kids liked her. And Ciro. Ciro was her best friend. She trusted him more then anyone else in the group, and he understood her. Not many people could.
Pushing Ciro out of her head, she carefully lifted the blanket off her and got out of the bed. She tiptoed carefully around Hana, and out the door and down the hall. At first, she considered going downstairs, where she could hear people talking. But the door right beside the stairs caught her eye, and through the glass she could see it lead outside to a balcony. Maybe I can see the stars.
Carefully, she unlocked the door and crept out, closing it behind her. Part of her worried that maybe she wasn't supposed to be out there, but she went out anyway. Indeed she could see the stars, stretched out across the sky, much different then Borealis.
She'd never seen stars on Earth before, the lights of the city far too bright for the stars to be visible. But here, they were bright and beautiful, unbothered by city lights. She leaned against the balcony railing, making sure it was sturdy and wouldn't send her plummeting to her death before she put her whole weight on it, just admiring the the specks of light hovering so far above her.

Aria laughed softly so she didn’t wake the people upstairs though she was sure they were already awake
“Welp Colby I’m going to bed. To try and get some sleep” Aria smiled at him before pushing herself to her feet. “Goodnight” she crept up the stairs tiptoeing past the rooms till she reached room 3

Colby didn't have any time to raise a protest or even offer an extension to their dying conversation before Aria had made her easy escape.
He had a hard time keeping his breath from hitching as he considered the situation she'd left him with.
If he sat in silence, it'd be rude.
If he got up and left, it'd be inexcusable.
If he talked, he was risking everything he held dear, but it was no doubt the right thing to do.
And Colby, like the utter and absolute Colby he was, could do nothing but the right thing.
So he kept his eyes fixed to the welcoming flames, but he flicked his ears back toward Juliana in the most courteous, yet unoffensive, gesture of openness he could think of.
"Well, guess it's just you and me, then."
If a fire could be awkward in its crackling, this was sure as heck was.

Kevin shrugged. “No worries. You’re doing your best. I know it can be really overwhelming.” He said, sweeping up the last of the glass. He shook his head. “No, thank you though. It’s replaceable.” He stood up, walking towards the door. “Goodnight, Kylan.” Kevin said, giving him a small nod.
Kylan sighed, nodding. He wasn't sure what that word meant, but he assumed that it must be something like "goodbye'" or "goodnight", so he gave a small smile and returned the nod. "Goodnight, Kevin. Thank you."
He watched as he left, before plopping down on his makeshift bed and snuggling under the cover. "Boys, now it's time to really go to sleep. You can practice imposing communism on the world in the morning, but we've had two people complain about our noise."
He soon succumbed to sweet sleep, twisting into an odd position that would hurt his neck in the morning.

Torin sighed, but made no move to disobey. He was really comfy where he was and sleep soon inclosed on him, making him snore to signify his status.
"Oh, alright." Ciro visibly relaxed, but stuck to the door. "As long as you're sure I'm not displacing you."
Taquikkar let out a scampish yip in response to Tru's invitation and reared up on her hind legs, much like the ponies she was just the size of. But when she came back down, not only did she shake the room, she just barely nudged the dresser, which was more than enough to dangerously jar the precious-looking chicken statuette on top.
Thanks to his constant state of hyperactivity, Ciro was there before it could even wobble, but, even still, he let out a shaky sigh.
"Not too sure how I feel about imposing this directly on Kevin, though."
Lilith nodded, pausing before she left, slipping on her necklace. "Yeah, me neither. It's just... Don't want anyone to feel like you're just leeching, it's kinda like that, right?" She gave a small laugh, smiling as Tru raced in a small circle in response to Taquikkar's rearing up.
She slipped over to the door way, easily stepping around him and the canids to lean at the entrance. She whistled Tru to her once more, and he finally bounced over. "We'll leave you to it so you can rest, I suppose it's pretty late. I should go put my stuff away, maybe see who's still up."

"Ah, time is irrelevant anyway, is it not?" Ciro commented through an irresistible yawn that definitely contradicted his insistence upon remaining awake as long as need be. "Or maybe I'm supposed to rethink that comment." He shrugged in the self-deprecating way that he'd mastered long ago and gave Tru a few farewell pats as the collie swept by him. "I hope both of you sleep well- and if I find that we really have thrown you out, we're going to have to settle that injustice somehow."

Nat remained crumpled in a miserable pile of silk and pain at the far end of the hallway.
Getting up was too much of an effort- then again, by the way that the world squirmed and how her head pulsated when she'd attempted opening her gritty eyes, it wasn't even a feasible effort to attempt.
Shutting her eyes again- now that was more her speed.

Kevin disappeared downstairs and into the kitchen, frowning when he noticed Juliana. He didn’t see her come with them, and seeing her here took him slightly off guard. He wasn’t particularly fond of her, but decided she could stay if she wanted to, and if she did she would be treated just like any of the others. That is, until she did something to warrant being kicked out. The same went for Eve.
He dumped the glass into the trashcan, putting the broom back in the garage. He entered the living room again, looking around. Walking towards the sofa, Kevin grabbed the pile of clothes everyone ignored and sat on, giving Juliana an acknowledging nod.
