The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

(They have white wool and black faces/legs.)
Kevin followed him to the sheep, which instantly perked up and ran. “Slowly, Noah. You don’t want to scare them.” He said.
“Sheepies!” He patted a sheep gently. “They’re not as soft as I expected,” he said.

Aella laid her head beside Ta's, listening to Ciro even though her gaze was trained on a pair of songbirds fluttering across the pale sky together. How peaceful they were, and how unaware of the struggles mankind were facing. If only it were the same for us.
"I don't know what to think. It sounds scary, especially if cops are keeping people from even walking on the street." She said after several moments of thinking, one hand reaching over to pet Taquikkar. "And it's a sickness. You can't fight a sickness with swords and knives and fire. You can't control who it infects and when." The thought of it made a sudden rush of anxiety fill her. She had no idea how bad the virus was; what if it got her? What if it got Ciro or someone else from the group?
"And that's scary to think about."
Ciro had no issue reading the clear alarm in her voice, and of course it encouraged the surging panic he'd been fighting. "I have no idea if my family is okay..." He suddenly shot up to his feet and began pacing, the anger of impotence pouring down on him in sheets.
Taquikkar was on her feet in a flash, mirroring his desperate movements with her flowing stride. She didn't make a sound, but no noise was needed to commune how infectious Ciro's uneasiness was.
"Agh, I feel so useless. What was I thinking? What am I doing? I can't just sit here." Oh, but how he needed to stay here too. But family came first...or at least it used to.
But, regardless of where he ended up, could he even do anything anyway? Like Aella had just said, the worst enemy was one he couldn't fight, and, from what little he'd heard, it was oppressive enough to make his other waiting battles unwinnable.
Then something Cam had read surfaced in the front of his mind. Something about closed borders. And it made his legs go weak and sink him back to the ground. "But can we even go back?"

Ellie stuffed the last of her pancake in her mouth before swallowing it in a gulp. She smiled before a tiny strand of dark brown hair caught her eye, oh no! It’s out of place. Must. Be. Fixed. Quickly she put her plate in the sink where the other plates where and dashed upstairs to fix her plait. It was extremely important to her that her hair was always immaculate, unless of course she had just been in a death defying forest but that was a whole 8 months ago. She yanked her hair into a tight plait before examining her skin, bleh I need to get some lip balm. Her lips were dry and cracked and she didn’t like the way they looked.

Fred on the other hand was trying to fit a pancake into his mouth. It wasn’t working so well, he had chocolate smeared on his nose where the pancake had slipped and slapped him on the nose. His large glasses kept sliding down to the tip of his nose, “ugh I hate them” he mumbled crumbs of the pancake falling out his mouth and onto the plate.

Eve shook her head, boys were disgusting sometimes. She couldn’t believe it had been 3 months, she so badly wanted to call home and tell them she was okay but she couldn’t exactly tell them. Eve sighed, she was going to stay out of trouble and not go killing anyone.

(Sorry for disappearing XD)
Kylan took his time eating his pancakes, smirking at the sudden insanity brought on by Taquikkar's appearance, even joining Aella's side by flickering a piece of bread at the dire wolf without much thought put into it.
He sat quietly chuckling, before pausing when Juliana appeared beside him and Kipp. He'd learned to stay away from her, not able to stand her constant quips and lashing out.
"Thank you so much!" Cam said, accepting the belt. In the bathroom, she hung up Kevins' belt and put on the much better fitting one.

Noah didn't see many adults from where he stood, only teenagers. But a lot of times when they say 'bring an adult with you' they mean teenagers too.
"Aww, that's where I was going to go first," he said, meaning the animal pen. He grabbed Kylan by the hand and attempted to drag him towards the door. However, the tall, strong teenager remained anchored in place even when the small boy pulled with all his might. "Let's go Kylan! I wanna go outside!"
Kylan snickered a bit, leaning back as Torin began helping his friend via pulling his other hand. "Oh, what? You need my help?" He joked, smirking at his teasing carelessness.
“Sorry child, no one’s allowed with the animals unless I’m there,” Kevin said, giving Noah a sympathetic smile and a pat on the shoulder. “And don’t eat any of the apples that aren’t on the tree, okay? Kylan, don’t let them eat the apples on the ground. Feel free to pick as many as you want. Don’t go to far into the trees. Have fun!” He called out behind him.
Kylan glanced at him blinking, having haven't heard the healer. "Huh, come again?"
Kipp considered following them outside, but the blast of cold air when the door opened made the decission for him. The was no way he'd be going out there with out a proper shirt.

He wondered if that was even a possibility, Kevin likely wouldn't want him cutting holes in his clothes. What he had would have to do for now.

"Well, I think i'm gonna try to figure out uhh, the whole bath situation." He said, mostly to Kylan who had gone oddly quiet after Juli had appeared next to him. "Be back in a bit." He added hopping off his seat and taking both his own and Juliana's plate to the sink befire heading upstairs.

"Oh, sorry." Kipp said stepping back from the door. He hadn't been upstairs yet and did know exactly where to look for a bathroom. He hesitated in the doorway unsure if he should leave her alone.

"Are, you ok?"
Kylan smiled at him, snapping back to reality. "Alright. And by the way, you ain't that bad off. She smells worse than any of us put together." He said, giving a small smile in a hopes to amend his friend's embarrassment.
"True that." Nat rolled once more to be free of the aggressive sheets and sent herself right off the bed. "Ah, well, concussing on command takes an advanced level of talent," she continued, facedown and not willing -or able, for that matter- to reposition her sorry body. "I'd be willing to give instruction for the right price."

"Hey Maya," Nat greeted into the floor. The braided rug smelled like your classic musty floor, with the faintest edge of unwashed feet. Or that might've been her. "So the three of us are bunking in here? Guess we'd better establish a bed rotation schedule, then."
Nat peeled her sorry self up off the floor and inhaled deeply. The resulting sound was not unlike something emitted from a happy hog. "Pancakes," she affirmed dreamily. "And good ones at that. At least, I don't smell any char." After she stumbled to her feet, she passed a heavily-lidded look from Lilith to Maya before turning toward the door. "I have this feeling that it's gonna be one huge reoccurring case of early bird gets fed in this society."
Lilith gave a huffy chuckle, smiling at Nat. "Price? You take gold? You'll have to, I'm not exactly fluid in American dollars at the moment."
At the mention of food, all playful conversation was immediately put to the side by the shear awesomeness that the possibility of pancakes equaled. And the fact that their mutual companions had probably consumed all of said awesomeness. "Curse 'em. I'm stealing their pancakes off their plates if they didn't save some for us."
At that statement, she flung herself out the door and tumbled down the stairs in nearly the same fashion Kylan had.
She then happily grabbed several pancakes and plopped them on a plate, slipping into a seat and digging into them.
Aria stepped out the door eager to see what Russia looked like in the light of day. She’d never really been to this part of Russia before. She glanced back over her shoulder at Kylan before feeling herself deflate, he didn’t like her like she liked him. Not in the same way anyway, he was her friend. Not her boyfriend, he would never be anything more than a close friend. She shook her head attempting to clear her thoughts, but her thoughts just wandered further. Is there something between him and Lilith? Don’t be stupid Aria. They’re friends. Like you and him. She sighed

Kylan finally consumed the last of his pancakes, picking up his dish and scrambling through the maze of people to grab Torin's and take both to the sink.
He just barely caught her staring at him before she scurried off, and smiled at her back sadly. No matter what, it seemed she always ended up running away; had he done something wrong, said something that made her not want to be around him too much? She'd said she liked him, and he'd said he liked her too, but now... She just didn't ever act like she did.
He paused, biting his lip indecisively. I should go talk to her, make sure she's okay. He decided, noting that Torin finally abandoned him to go play with Tru who had ran down the stairs with Lilith.
But there's someone else I need to check on first. He sighed, a small tremble running down his back. How was he ever suppose to tell his mother and father about everything? They'd never believe him, especially not his father. So he'd have to go with what he'd worked out before, and pray to God that Torin would uphold the promise that he'd go along with it. He hated the thought of lying to his parents, but what was he suppose to say? They'd think he was crazy and kidnapped his own little brother, just finally lost every last shred of sanity he retained.
So he shuffled over to the phone, pausing with his hand hovering over the phone. Just get it over with. He winced, pushing in his mother's number and waiting for her to answer with a clenched stomach. Oh, please, everyone be okay.
"Hello? This is the Archer's, how may I help you?"
Her voice was uncertain, obviously confused by the random number. But he had a feeling of pure joy spring over him at his mother's soft and feminine voice. "Mom? Mom, are you-- Is everyone okay? It's Kylan." He rasped, worry etched in his words.
"Kylan? Oh my God, Ky! Where are you? Is Tor there? Are you both alright? We're all fine, but we've... We filed so many missing people's reports, we thought we lost you both, too. It's been so long, what happened?" Her words were jumbled, and he could hear just how shocked she was, and he was sure she was crying. Three months of missing children and a deadly virus would do that to a person. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Mom...
"Yeah... It's me. Torin's right here, we're both fine. Shaken, but fine. I don't-- I don't know entirely. We were walking back home, and uh, some guys knocked us out. We're, uh, we're in Russia now. But we're safe! We got away!"
"What? Ky-- Some people knocked you out, and now you're in Russia? How are you safe in Russia? Who are you staying with, what did they want you for?"
He winced, knowing he was going to have a lot of bad issues if him or Torin let slip that it was a lie, but he'd be in just as bad of a situation if he said the truth. I can't believe I'm lying to her. "Uh, they wanted the ransom, I guess? We're staying with a guy called Kevin. We got trapped here after Corona hit, Lilith's here too, and some other's. But we're safe, we're fine. I'll call again later, I have to go. We'll be back home soon, I swear, Mom. I'm so sorry to have put you through this. Wait! Torin, come here, say hi to Mom!"
"What-- Kevin who? Lilith's there, she's back after two years? I don't..."
Kylan hurriedly shoved the phone at Torin faster than he ever had, nodding to his brother. "Hi, Momma!" The boy chirped, smiling happily. "We're alright! We're in communist Russia!"
He didn't catch what she said back, but he took the phone back away at the mention of communism. Muttering a final goodbye, he couldn't hang up quick enough.
He glanced at Torin, frowning. "Why do we have to lie to her?" The smaller boy asked, blinking up at him.
"They wouldn't believe us, and this way no one will get hurt." He sighed, looking towards the door. Aria had gone in the direction of the barn, so had Kevin, so that might give him a chance to kill two birds with one stone. "How about we go see the animals!" He blurted, needing to get the thoughts of his parents off his mind.
His brother nodded excitedly, already skipping out the door. He followed, and greeted the four people at the barn with a swift nod and a warm smile at each, glancing at Aria a little longer than the other's, wondering if she'd say anything.

Torin came up to Kevin, looking up at him, then at the animals. "Can I pet them? Please, Kevin, please?" He asked.

“Hi Kylan, how are you?” Aria smiled at him catching his gaze lingering on her longer than any one else. Her breath hitched could it be?...No Aria don’t get ahead of yourself.

"'Ey, Ari! I'm... Considerably pretty good, seeing as I just lied to my mother about where we've been the last three months." Kylan said, giving a small chuckle awkwardly. Great, always a great way to start a conversation is mentioning lying to your mother. "I'm, good." He smiled, glancing around before looking back at her. "Are you holding up okay?"

“Ya know, this and that.” She grinned back at him “oh Crud. I should call my parents, I completely forgot”.

Aria turned and jogged inside reaching for the phone and dialling her parents home number. “Hello?” Her mother’s voice answered. She felt her heart jump in her chest “hi mum.” Silence answered her, “Aria?” The voice asked. “Yeah it’s me” Aria said sheepishly, “oh my gosh. Aria where are you? Where have you been? It’s been three months! I know I overreacted about the vase but I never expected you to run away.” Aria shut her eyes, she could hear the hurt in her mothers voice. “I’m sorry Mum. Where is Dad?” Aria asked, she hadn’t heard her dad asking her mum who she was talking to like she usually did. Mrs Worthy hesitated, Aria was gripped by sudden panic. “Um Aria, your Dad and I are Um divorced, I’m sorry” Mrs Worthy explained, Aria shut her eyes a tear running down her skin, she leaned back till she was leaning against the wall. “Aria?” Her mother’s voice pulled her back to reality, “y-yep” Aria said her voice wavering with emotion. “Where are you darling? I will come and get you.” Her mum’s voice was gentle. “Y-you can’t. I’m in Russia. I will explain everything when I get home. I love you” Aria whispered, “Aria” her mother was cut off by the beep to signal the other person had hung up. Aria buried her face in her hands and sank down onto the floor and let out a sob

Hana glanced over at Aria from where she was on the couch, seeing the girl completely distraught and morphed into a sobbing ball. She slowly got up, hesitatingly walking over in Aria's direction, "Hey.. whats wrong?" she whispered, concern in her voice as she crouched down in front of her. I guess we're all not hearing the best of news today...
