The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“Use your paw. If you jump in, it’ll startle them. If you just flash your paw in and scoop it out, they won’t know what hit them.”
Ohhh. That makes more sense. He nodded and positioned himself again, this time with a paw raised instead of crouching like he was doing before

He was taken aback. Was that what this was? Did she think that he and Ashira were getting too friendly? "That was Ashira. She grew up on the other world, so she doesn't know English. I was helping her learn how to understand it." He explained quickly, willing her to understand
Ellie shook her head “we can talk about this later Carson. I can’t talk to you or I will say something I will regret”

He nodded reluctantly, willing to let her have her space no matter how desperately he wanted to explain himself. "Let me know when you're ready." He said softly before walking away

Again, she waited.
He saw a flicker, but it wasn't close enough to the bank. He sighed quietly. A few minutes later, he saw another flicker. He slammed his paw into the water, hooked something slimy with his claws, and brought up a clump of algae. He stared at the clump once he got in on the bank in disappointment. That's not a fish...

(why. why did I get zero alerts for this? Doth BYC hate me so?)
(Has river disappeared again? Lol”
(my alerts decided that obviously I wasn't needed for this XD I've been mainly relying on them lately to keep up, I guess when I took a break it decided to kick this out of the unread.)
Nat followed close behind Lilith and took the stairs with the same wild abandon.
But maybe that hadn't been the best method of post-concussion descent. So she was stuck swaying on her feet as she combated her threateningly turning -albeit empty- stomach. Her eyes watered miserably as she focused on the hazy, tantalizing stacks of pancakes- so close yet so far.
Lilith squinted at Nat with mild amusement, chocolate smeared on her lips as she reached for a napkin. "Well, you're still looking just jolly from that scuffle with the wall." She joked, giving a grin.
Aria smiled at Kevin “I’m okay now though” she said giving a warm grin. She looked around wondering if Kylan has even noticed she’d been crying. Aria knelt down on the grass in front of a calf, “aren’t you beautiful” she smiled stroking its neck
Aria fought back tears, she was not going to cry. No. Not in front of Cam, the kids, Kylan and Kevin. Not a chance.
When she suddenly abandoned them and ran inside, Kylan had mutely shook his head and moved off to watch the boys pet the sheep, zoning out. And she ran off. Again.
When he finally realized she had returned, he barely caught the sound of sniffles and Kevin trying to sooth her, at which he quickly turned to make sure she was alright, half way not expecting to see her eyes so tear stained and puffy. "Ari? Hey, c'mon, are you alright? You were just here a minute ago, and now..." He paused, looking rather worried. He wanted to give her a hug, but also knew that had a probable chance of making her pretty uncomfortable instead of comforting her.
Noah prodded Torin in the ribs. “Hey look, a donkey! Do you think we can ride it?” He lowered his voice enough that Kevin couldn’t hear him.
Torin giggled, giving a toothy smile as he looked over at the creature. "Maybe we can! It's so cool!" He laughed, barely shuffling towards it as to not be noticed by their three adult observers who seemed suddenly rather preoucupied.

“Um” she cleared her throat “in the three months my parents um got a divorce”

"Psychopath..." Aella was sure she had heard that word used in a completely different context on the streets. But then again, she wasn't sure what else it would be called, and it sounded fitting enough. "I could be. I don't think anyone would hire me, though. I'm not exactly the smartest."
Ciro gave her the sharpest look he could muster, but he knew it was nothing compared to what she could do. Or any of them, for that matter. When it came to glares, he was greatly outclassed here. "Smart is...ah, I don't know the word, but it has to be a matter of where you are... and who you are. Do you think a textbook scholar could live your life and survive what we went through?" He daringly crawled his right fingers across the bridge of Taquikkar's snout and then jumped them off, but caught them in the palm of his left before they could end up in her maw. "No way. You notice, figure out, and overcome things other people are completely unaware and useless against, day after day in your life." He returned his eyes to Aella's, his lopsided smile pushing the right one into a slight squint. "Give yourself credit, El. If I only had money, no one could stop me from hiring you to be my psychopath."
Maya nodded. She wasn’t sure if her behavior was entirely normal or if it was just the lingering effects of the concussion. “You probably shouldn’t fight Kevin’s walls, you know, it’s impolite.” She said, joking again. “You sure you don’t need any help?”
Lilith squinted at Nat with mild amusement, chocolate smeared on her lips as she reached for a napkin. "Well, you're still looking just jolly from that scuffle with the wall." She joked, giving a grin.
"Dunno, man. Never had a concussion before." Somewhat sobered, Nat frowned, but also took advantage of the pause to wag her tongue at Lilith. "Or maybe I have. Should I remember that?"

(I maybe taking advantage of the fact that my last post got buried. :3 I suppose it's time to hop back in even if I'm not ready.)

Kipp frown at the bathroom cieling. As expected no trap door. He shrugged a Fred turning back to leave Kevin's room. Maybe he was one of those people who just took their laundry to the laundromat instead of owning a washer and dryer.

"Maybe it's in the hallway?" Being as short as he was he never really felt the need to look up in a house, it was entirely possible he just missed an attic door.
