The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kipp watched him from the corner of his eye, he wasn't pulling any punches, but at least he'd dropped the whole girlfriend, boyfriend thing. He didn't need him running back to Cam and telling her he liked her.

"I'll trade you." He suggested not that it was possible, but it would be nice to look human.
“I wish...” Noah said. His feet were very scratched up from the mines of Dakrium.
He looked around as if expecting a small, boot-wearing creature to pop out of the rocks that he could kidnap.
Actually, a small 1-foot-tall creature did pop out of the rocks. But it didn’t have any footwear on its feet, which were quite large for its stature. It had a large, bulbous nose and had a wild shock of hair that added an additional foot to its height. (A troll)
Noah screamed in shock and jumped into Kipp’s arms, or didn’t if Kipp let him down.
More popped up and peered at the travelers curiously with large eyes.

Kipp caught the flying Noah, looking around frantically for a looming shadow of a we-sa. Instead what he saw was an adorable little creature with giant feet and a funky hairdo. And then another, and another, as several appeared from behind stones.

He stopped to look at them curiously, a bit nervous that they could be carnivorous. But they looked harmless enough.

“Selena -that is your name, right?-“ Kyle looked at Selena (is that her name?) like he expected her to answer him in English. “Tells me this: Olim, the one people don’t like talking about very much, is basically a hive mind controlling a great number of deadly mythical beasts along with a small number of associates. With the control of these, he is able to strike fear into the Borealans and he caused those in Mobrikam, the fortress that can never be spelled in the same way twice, the fortress above Dakrium, to become his slaves.
Laborers in Dakrium and the slave farms, Cornomen, are working to be able to arm and feed an army. Olim’s power is increasing daily. Soon he won’t need the help of his free associates to twist the minds of people into his will. He won’t make them into we-sas, they’ll have all their abilities intact, which will actually be more powerful. We-sas need stealth to be successful. But she doesn’t know what he’s using the army for. I have some ideas.”
Maya listened silently to Kyle’s speech. She opened her mouth to say something, but couldn’t think of anything to say. I mean, what were you supposed to say to that? Like, ‘oh, yeah, I have a plan to stop the evil mind-controller who has countless beast-minions and slaves from invading Earth’!
We’re doomed. She thought gloomily.

Charlie knelt down and squinted at one of the trolls. “They’re kinda... ugly.” He muttered. I probably shouldn’t have eaten that weird fruit. Or, are these things real? That wouldn’t be surprising. He continued staring at the troll, while Alex lingered nearby, hiding halfway behind his brother.

"Don't insult it!" Kipp hissed. "It might understand you! And I don't want to be eaten by gremlins today."

Oh, good, he sees them too. Charlie gave Kipp a sideways look. “Why would they speak English?” He asked incredulously. He waved his hand at one of them. “Maybe they think ‘ugly’ is a compliment.”

"I don't know! What makes you think anything here makes sense?" He retorted gesturing with a wing to the prancing Korim in a dress to prove his point.

Charlie shrugged. “What, do you want me to say sorry?” He asked, the hint of a grin on his face. He glanced at the trolls, curious if they had reacted at all. He saw Kipp’s wing flail out of the corner of his eye and looked at the Korim-in-a-dress, his eyes widening at the sight.

"Yes. And stop saying things are ugly to their face. They probably already know it." Kipp set Noah back down on the ground figuring he was probably fine now, and didn't need to be carried. Walking over to crouch next to Charlie, and get a closer look at one of the critters.

They didn't seem all that afraid of them, so they were either really stupid, or terribly strong. "Do you think they'd leave us alone if we poked one with a stick?"

Charlie sighed in a dramatic sort of way. “Whatever you say, Kipp.” He said, then turned to stare at the troll he had been looking at earlier. “Sorry, bro, you aren’t that ugly.” He said, a grin on his face.
Charlie looked at Kipp. “You wanted me to say sorry, but now you want to poke one?”
