The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Thankfully, Takes blush faded away when they reached the group, and arriving just in time to see that everyone took a moment to stop in front of a clothing place. He made his way to the front urgently where Korim was and placed a hand on his shoulder. His face was dead serious, looking straight into the boys orange eyes. “I.. need.. clothes..” he murmured, a tone of desperation in his voice. Takes pants were burnt up to his calves and had no spare underwear or socks to change into. His fingers dug into Korims shoulder, showing he wasn’t playing around.
Korim noted the intensity of Take’s gaze. “Okay, you need clothes.”
"Yeah, I don't really have enough feathers to keep me warm. I'm going to need clothes." Kipp added to Take's insistence.
"Do you think this would be enough to cover the cost?" He asked pulling the little red glasslike bird out of his pocket.
Korim looked at the bird with confusion. Kipp was trying to trade a glass toy for clothes? Realization slowly dawned on his face, curling into his signature Cheshire smile. “Maybe, if that’s what I rhink it is. Not many were made. Many duplicates were, however, and these are nothing but trinkets. But surely a dragon would know it’s worth. There’s only one way to find out.” He looked at Aella. “Put a little flame in its beak.”

Aella shot Korim a glare, not too pleased that he had interrupted her and Ciro's (non existent) conversation. She stepped forward, looking down at the little glass bird in Kipp's hand. It looked like it was nothing but maybe a children's toy or a strange decoration. Her hand shot out, snatching the little bird from Kipp's hand, none too gently, and examined it for herself. "You want me to burn a kid's toy?" She questioned, a little concerned for the mentality of the strange boy. Not that her's was any better. "Okay. I guess I can do that." She shrugged. Spark's grew into small dancing flames on the tips of her fingers tips, and for a moment she paused and watching them with sincere fascination, even though she had seen them millions of times before. Gently, she pressed a flame against the bird's beak, unsure of what would happen next.

A flame grew inside the belly of the bird. Korim was entranced for a second, but his senses came back to him. “Quick! Stop the flame!” He said sharply.

Eve shook her head in amazement, she knew they had been gone a while but this was a whole new level of insane. Burning a child’s toy? Was Korim serious? He was meant to be the one keeping it together and now apparently his mental confusion was declining.
Fred watched curiously, he couldn’t see the Point of this little experiment. There weren’t any test tubes, or chemicals, or even a bunson burner there was just a small toy bird with a flame now inside

Maya stepped forward and tried to peer at the thing that the group was clustered around. It was a plastic- or glass?- bird trinket. She frowned, not understanding why it was so important or why everyone was so interested in it.
Oh, great. They’re trying to set it on fire.
Maya wasn’t even surprised at this point. This group’s lack of impulse control could rival that of a class of second graders. She was, however, a bit surprised that Korim was involved. He had seemed like a level-headed guy, not someone usually involved in the burning of random objects.

Charlie happened to be very close by when everyone started to surround the bird toy. He watched it intently, internally pleading for it to burst into flames. That would be dope!
Charlie did have the same level of impulsiveness as a second grader.
Alex stared as well, mesmerized by the little flame.

"What do you mean, stop the flames? You just told me to light it on fire!" Aella snapped, looking at him sharply. Though, the bird was getting kind of hot in her hand.
Wait.
Hot?
She didn't feel heat like another person did, as she was quite literally fire. Her temputure was naturally oddly high for a human to withstand her fire, and it didn't make sense that the bird was getting hot. That can't be good.
Quickly, she slapped her hand over the glass bird, the flame burning out and absorbing back into her skin. "It was hot." She stated stupidly, looking at Korim. "What would have happened if I let it keep burning?"

Take let go of Korims shoulder after getting the confirmation that he indeed needed clothes. He turned his attention to the little bird figurine that Aella set the inside of a light. He mentally hyped for it to explode like a pyrotechnic as the flame flickered inside the bird. It was visible by his sly smile that he was waiting for something to happen. Wait what does this have to do with getting clothes again?

Kipp didn't particularly appreciate the fire girl who he barely knew, grabbing the bird from him. But considering the faulty grasp on reality she seemed to have, based on the last time he'd seen her singing in the trees, he wasn't about to argue with her.

The flame catching was unexpected, since he was pretty sure it was made of some kind of volcanic glass. He wasn't sure why Korim suggested she try to burn it.

(I was going to have the way to deploy it being tossing it in the air. This seems like a good way to test it though.)

“It would probably explode. This is a Fire Bird. Very few Fire Birds were ever created. It’s probably worth more than this store and everything in it,” Korim said. “You activate it by throwing it in the air. Once the bird is out, you’re going to have trouble putting it back in.”
