The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“It would probably explode. This is a Fire Bird. Very few Fire Birds were ever created. It’s probably worth more than this store and everything in it,” Korim said. “You activate it by throwing it in the air. Once the bird is out, you’re going to have trouble putting it back in.”
“There’s a bird in there?” Charlie scooted forward to look closer at the ‘Fire Bird’. He stared at it as if he could spot a tiny bird flapping around inside. The little figurine wasn’t as impressive as the name implied, but the fact that it could explode and possibly shoot a bird out made it much more interesting.

"Wait, there's an actually bird in it?" Aella muttered, nearly at the same time as Charlie. She inched away from him when he leaned closer, visibly uncomfortable with having him that close.
"Fire Bird? You mean like a phoenix?" Wolf-Girl questioned, raising a brow at Korim. Aella decided to ignore her, looking at the glass bird, debating throwing it. Temptation was close to getting the best of her, curious if it would actually become a bird.

“Yes, there’s a bird in there. So whatever you do, don’t throw it,” Korim said. He wasn’t interested in finding out what the bird would do because the details had always been rather vague. He wasn’t sure it was faithful servant or fiery wrath that were on its mind.
Aella frowned deeply, but opted to not throw it, as much as she wanted to. At Kipp's mention if not having much else, she felt slightly guilty, knowing her had coins and other small jewelry in her pockets and boots that would probably pay for the whole group. But she wasn't about to give it up. It was her's. It wasn't her responsibility to pay for the group, but she couldn't help but feel slightly guilty.

"Ok, well I had no idea. Do you think they'd be interested in it, or think I'm trying to threaten them? I... Uhhh" Kipp shifted his weight uncomfortably sticking his hands in his pockets. "Don't really have much else."
“Don’t sell the bird, it sounds epic!” Charlie exclaimed, thinking about a huge fiery phoenix that they could ride and that also roasted their enemies.

Kipp shrugged his hands still in his pockets thumbs sticking out.
"I don't know about you, but a ripped up t-shirt and pants isn't gonna be enough to keep me from freezing to death in the mountains." He said, though he had to admit it would be nice to have a decent weapon, if that's even how it worked. For all he knew it could just be some fancy fireworks and nit anything terribly special at all. "I don't have enough feathers." He added, mostly to tell himself that he wasn't in anyway capable of taking care of himself without clothes. He knew just how cold it could get in the mountains and practicality demanded they wear decent clothes.

Charlie looked down at his clothes and had to admit that Kipp had a point. He felt a twinge of sadness as he stared at his ripped, dirtied sweatshirt. Dang, my clothes stink. He realized. Alex’s clothes were even worse-looking, and he certainly wasn’t going to let his annoying brother become a popsicle.
Charlie sighed, his dreams crashing and burning, much like the cool mega-phoenix he had been imagining. His hopes came back for a second when he remembered the treasure he had taken, but then disappeared again when he realized that he’d lost them. All those expensive-looking coins had probably fell out of his now-nonexistent pockets.

An old man, tall and skinny woth a pointy nose, and long white hair under a drooping hat came out of the building wrining his boney hands together.
"If you would, could you move on?" He asked annoyed that this group of forieners were mingling outside, blocking the entrance, and for all he knew possibly plotting to rob him. "I've got a business to run here."

(I don't know that I'll be around to run the NPC but I'll give it a go)
