I never thought I related to any of the characters in this rp but t h i s??????? This sentence????? It hurts? Way more then it should???

How- how can you guys write so well?!
I’m in awe. Whenever I try to write anything that has some sort of emotion, especially sadness, it comes out either laughably pathetic, or like I’m trying too hard. XD

I’m in awe. Whenever I try to write anything that has some sort of emotion, especially sadness, it comes out either laughably pathetic, or like I’m trying too hard. XD

I don't know. I don't write great, but I just try and think of how the character feels. Not just sadness, but how that sadness feels. Every tiny little detail, especially Aella because she feels that. I also try and distinguish how each character feels things. When Blair's upset, she's violent and it's very much overwhelming, and it's kind of like white-red sadness, if that makes sense XD I connect a lot of it to colors.
But El's is much more calm. But she feels every aspect of it and doesn't exactly understand it but shes very good at feeling if that makes sense.
I dont think its pathetic!! Everybody as their different ways of writing. If it was all the same it'd be boring. If it feels like its just not enough or not written well enough, I promise it's great. That's how your subconscious decides that that character should feel it that way.

when I create characters I've taken to picking a personality type for them from the 16 personalities thing. That way if I loose track at some point of what a particular character is like or how they're different I can go back to that and re-find them

Trust me, I do too. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love Kevin, but Toby is a lot easier, and more fun to write. XD
