The Hobbit

The Hobbit was so good! I don't think it was too long, then again, I am a big Tolkien fan and could watch that stuff forever. I was really glad of the extra material PJ added, and though 2 films could be great, I'm not sure what the 3rd will contain. And yes, Martin Freeman was a perfect Bilbo, and the end was a huge cliff hanger. (More or less literally!)

I prefer to watch trilogies all at once also but enjoy the big screen too much.

You are so right. You lose so much when you watch a movie like this on TV. I will buy the DVDs when they come out, but I must see it on the big screen now!

I've not seen it yet, but I think that people that love the feel of Middle Earth will certainly like it. We'll go next week after Christmas.

How was the 3D? I tend to get motion sickness, so wasn't sure about that. But it is pretty obvious Peter Jackson filmed it for 3D.

My brother said it was awesome. He really liked the parts they added in, which is surprising because after he saw the Lord of the Rings trilogy he talked about how it didn't follow the books for like 3 weeks afterwards.
